We went to NH to enjoy the foliage in the beginning of October. Being in New England, we thought it is a must to stay at B&Bs. So we did. Three cities/towns, three B&Bs. Kinsman Lodge was by far - our favorite.
Perhaps due to the beautiful and quiet side of the White Mountain. Perhaps due to Sue's and Chet's warm and welcoming personalities. Perhaps due to the yummy breakfast they provided. Or all of the above.
This house has lots of rooms. A very old house, you can tell. Nothing fancy. Yet very comfy and warm. We stayed in the room with a private bath, that was actually Sue's and Chet's room, up until last year. Everything was so clean. The room and bathroom were cleaned-up every day.
Sue & Chet were always full of suggestions, from places to visit to restaurants. Sue showed me this old registration book she kept back from the early 1900! Quite magnificent to look at those beautiful, curly, neat hand-writings.
Too bad we don't normally repeat our visits, but if we ever be in the area again - we will definitely stay at Kinsman Lodge. If you like a quaint, cosy, homy place that feels just like visiting an Aunt and Uncle you have never met in your life before -- then you'll love Kinsman Lodge as much as we did.
