“An awesome stay!”
Reviewed 30 October 2013

We originally were booked at the Franconia Notch Guest House but a storm left them without power. Huge kudos to Pauline at FNGH for calling us to let us know she had already found us a room for the night! Our room was one of the "cabins" located on the grounds of Lovett's Inn. The only negative I have is that it was pitch dark when we arrived and could hardly see where we were going getting to our room. Once inside, we found a comfy, but honestly, a little dated room. Very comfy king bed, tv, coffee station and couch. It was very clean. We enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by chef Janet. It was truly one of the best meals we had on our vacation! The next morning, we were stunned to see how beautiful the grounds were. Just breathtaking with the fall foliage. Breakfast was as good as dinner the night before! We enjoyed talking with the owners, Jim and Janet, and would definitely stay there again.

This place was perfect for our short vacation to NH. The B&B is ideally located just a few minutes away from many hiking trails. The cottages are very cozy. The best part was the food. Jenny is a great cook! The staff were all great and very friendly. Thank you for an amazing vacation!

Lovely inn situated among beautiful trees and across from a lovely burbling brook. The "cabin" units are comfortable, quiet, well furnished (if a little dated) and kept to a high standard. The hosts are warm and welcoming and ready to meet any need. Cozy bar and small but comfortable sitting areas. The food is very good--dinner is much beyond what you might in such a modest place. The service is casual and professional. Breakfasts are delightful. Nice pool and patio.

Room Tip: Best rooms are those across the lawn from the main building, with fireplace.

While on a road trip this August, we decided to stay an extra day in the area and booked a room at Lovett's Inn The inn would be a great setting for a family reunion or small wedding. The grounds are beautiful, with an expansive lawn, inviting swimming pool & deck area, plus it's close to Franconia State Park / White Mountains recreational area. Beautiful!

We were given a cottage room with a double & twin. The cottage room was a basic, rustic room with 2 chairs & table, nightstand, small dresser, old TV. There was insufficient lighting and no WiFi---definitely not luxurious. It was late August and very warm and humid. Our room's wall air conditioner, which, in addition to being noisy, was inefficient at cooling the room. Luckily with ear plugs I made it through the night, but it was not the relaxing stay that I had imagined.

The innkeepers were very friendly and we enjoyed talking with them. Since we were the only guests we received very attentive service at breakfast. This is a nice historic inn in a beautiful setting with much potential --- I would suggest paying attention to the small details (dust & clean everywhere) and update the rooms (especially the a/c). The price paid for our lodging was out of line with what I thought it was worth.

We stayed at Lovett's Inn for three nights. We stayed in a pet friendly cottage. Upon arrival, I noticed that the room was not as advertised (I had picked that specific room because in the description is had wall to wall carpeting, perfect for our arthritic dog) The wall to wall carpeting was gone and the area rug that was in its place had not been vacuumed that day. There was visible dirt on it and one of those plastic things that keep a price tag connected to a shirt in a store. Since the advertised wall to wall carpeting was gone, our dog ended up injuring her back legs on the floor and now her back legs tend to give out quite often and for no apparent reason. The bed was a bit soft and they only supplied 3 pillows. Which I thought was odd. Isn't the standard either 2 or 4?

One night, a family checked into the cottage next to us. It basically sounded as if they were in our room with us. I'm positive that we could have carried on a conversation though the wall if we so desired.

The inn is located less than a mile from Franconia Notch State Park. You have gorgeous views of the Whites from the property. Also, the food at the inn was delicious. Dinner was great, as was breakfast. The fireplace in the cottage added ambiance and kept us warm on an chilly September eve.

Jim and Janet were absolutely lovely and hospitable. However, the cottages could use a bit more maintenance.

My partner and I just returned from a long weekend at the amazing Lovett's inn. We stayed in the fireplace/jacuzzi cottage Memories and Moonbeams. The room was large, clean and tastefully decorated. The grounds at the inn are simply tranquil. The main house of the inn is cozy and very homey. When traveling we usually like to try different places to eat. We had dinner at the inn prepared by Chef Janet and ended up eating dinner there both nights we were there. Jim and Janet go out of there way to make guests feel welcome and will cater to any needs you may have. They are both cheery and delightful to talk to and make you feel at home. Even if your not staying the Lovett's inn is a must to have dinner. The only complaint we had was not being able to stay longer. We are already looking forward to our next stay at the inn.

We stayed at Lovett's Inn for five nights over Labor Day Weekend for a last minute trip to New Hampshire. The Inn was the only accommodation in the area that had any availability last minute and when we arrived we couldn't have been happier! Service was exceptional and the breakfast/afternoon tea was absolutely delicious. Location wise, the Inn is easily accessible to Littleton, Lincoln, Echo Lake, Mount Washington and the Canon Mountain. There was plenty nearby to do although you must have a car! Nothing (to our dismay) is walking distance. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or re-visit.
