We loved our stay here. Steve and Jean have put so much effort into every aspect of the stay, from the decor to the excellent food, nothing is missed. They can't do enough for you, which is lovely. Highly recommended - especially the fresh pizza! Thank you.

The Chateau and gatekeepers lodge have been beautifully and lovingly restored by the owners - Our bedroom located in the lodge furnished to a very high standard and was very spacious and comfortable. Guests have access to a library (lodge) and to rooms in the chateau - sitting room and dining room which again are very tastefully furnished and beautifully restored. Owners are very friendly, helpful and welcoming and have created a very relaxing, homely and charming location . Dinner and breakfast were excellent. The wine list available is impressive. Secure parking is available on site. The village of Roussac is located in beautiful countryside. Our only regret is that our stay was only for one night. Overall an outstanding location.

Room Tip: The room in the main chateau.

We've just returned from celebrating our anniversary at the wonderful Chateau de Roussac, which is utterly exceptional in every way. This wonderfully and lovingly restored Chateau is sumptuous and luxurious but also charming and homely. There are so many amazing details to take in, antiques to admire, artwork to appreciate and books to peruse. We were completely looked after by Jean and Steve who's excellent taste and passion for providing a unique experience is evident in everything they do. The food was delicious, thanks Steve for our quintissentially English celebration Champagne Afternoon Tea (such a rare treat here in rural France) and our delicious evening meal, though finding room for it after our tea was difficult :o)
and relaxing in our beautiful suite, in our fluffy robes after rather over-indulging was fabulous. Can't wait to find a suitable excuse to return. A stay here comes so highly recommended, this place is fabulous.

We were looking for somewhere to have a meal out together and came upon this Chateau on the internet. I had often seen the majestic turret glimpsing through the trees, as I drove past. (we live close by). New to the area, I did not realize what gorgeous delights where hidden away. Jean and Steve were gracious enough to have us dine in their 12th century Chateau, even though they have not yet launched into ''non residential dining visitors''. . So we were honored.

Jean showed my partner and I around the beautifully restored Chateau. Everywhere you turn, there is another delight for the eye and senses to absorb. They have amazing taste and a fabulous, artistic eye for detail and style. Each suite is tastefully and individually designed. The lovely breakfast room and bar, have kept the 12th century, with a touch of the present delicately introduced.

We dined like Kings in the relaxing, comfortable grandeur of the dining room, with its great blazing, crackling fire, soothing candle light and background soft music. Steve is a great chef and the meal was beautiful. The carefully selected wine cellar is impressive.

We highly recommend this fantastic Chateau de Roussac . Lovely to experience and dine in and for a romantic stay, or Afternoon Tea. Steve and Jean are wonderful hosts. We will be back very soon.

Room Tip: All the rooms are gorgeous and beautifully located.

My wife and I had a truly lovely two-night stay at this beautiful B&B. Steve cooked us the most delicious dinner (all the more impressive as we are both vegetarian!), and lounging in front of the 12th century original fireplace in the impeccably restored sitting room was a real highlight of our France trip. We felt truly relaxed and rejuvenated after our stay. The hosts are interested in making your time as perfect as can be. I recommend them highly for a secluded weekend away.
