We stayed at this beautiful B&B for one night in July--it was all the that we could get away from our employment.

This was the finest experience that we have ever had concerning a place to stay.

The decor is impeccable, the breakfast was fabulous and the innkeepers are a joy to know.

We are hoping to go back in September--and whenever we can get away for some rest and relaxation.

Sincerely,

Mike and Dolores

We stayed at the Maria Atwood Inn while touring Canterbury and wish we'd booked for longer. The hosts, Sandi and Fred were helpful and accommodating and the breakfast was superb. The Franklin room was quiet, historic, tastefully furnished and comfortable. Although Franklin is small, our hosts directed us to many nearby attractions and eating places. All in all, a great experience.

My girlfriend and I were stuck in a snowstorm on New Year's Day and literally slid our sports car into the parking lot of the Maria Atwood Inn with no prior plans to stay there. Luckily, it turned into one of the highlights of our holiday vacation. The Webster room was amazing (see the pics on their site), the service was great, and the whole experience was the polar opposite of our stressful drive earlier that evening. In short, we would highly recommend this Inn to anyone.

We just spent our second Thanksgiving holiday at The Maria Atwood B&B while visiting family in New Hampshire. It is the best B&B we've stayed in. Sandy and Fred are intelligent, thoughtful hosts AND Sandy makes a fabulous breakfast - her scones are exceptional and I don't even like scones. The rooms are lovely. The entire Inn is immaculate and just very well done in every way.

Sandi and Fred could not have made us more welcome on our first visit to Franklin; this beautiful house was an ideal location on the first part of our tour of New Hampshire. We would have loved to have stayed longer but the NASCAR fanatics had booked them solid so we only had one night to enjoy the hospitality of our hosts.

Sandi made the most wonderful scones for breakfast and we were even given a 'doggy bag' to have with our elevenses. This B&B is a wonderful place with genial hosts and I would highly recommend it.

Everything about the Maria Atwood Inn is outstanding. Sandi and Fred are the most approachable, accomodating, and helpful hosts. They will answer questions about anything, including dining, tourist attractions, or directions. The inn is a beautiful federal style home full of wonderful furniture and decorations representative of New England. The bedrooms have high quality, clean smelling, fresh pressed linens and, along with the common areas, are spotlessly clean. Breakfasts are always scrumptious and hearty. In two days we had three fruit juices, scones, muffins, sausages, bacon, eggs, baked pears, fruit with yogurt, toast, and more. All the food is put out family style and you help yourself. The coffee, both regular and decaf, is always fresh and hot. If there is another B&B that offers more value for the money, I haven't found it.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful, romantic room at the Maria Atwood Inn. After an adventurous (but misguided) attempt to climb one of the NH mountains in the mid-spring, we had a harrowing descent on an icy trail. But when we got to the Inn, the innkeeper gave us directions to a restaurant, and when we came back lit us a fire in our spacious, Federal-style room. Four-poster bed and fireplace -- I'm so glad I found this place by searching on the Web!

Breakfast was amazing -- stuffed french toast and ham, and more, in a pretty little dining room with one big table for the B & B guests. It was a memorable weekend and a lovely place.
