Mike is a welcoming and friendly host. Rooms was comfortable and roomy, if in need of a little TLC and update. The lounge area is a cosy place to read, watch tv or chat.
Breakfast was generous and ok quality but the service was excellent.

Unfortunately we only had one night to stay in the white mountains, but luckily we chose to stay at Bernerhof. The road noise was a little loud, but we turned the a/c on which blocked it out. Breakfast was amazing, especially the pumpkin pancackes.

We also enjoyed the compilmentary drink at the bar the evening of our arrival. Very cozy.

Everything was clean and tidy, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Recommend.

Room Tip: A room away from the road, though an earlier comment indicates they'll be adding some sound proofing which I'm sure would help.

We stayed at the Bernerhof for three nights of our honeymoon and could not have had a better experience. This was our first time at a B&B and, as someone who typically sticks to hotel chains so as to not be surprised, I was a bit nervous. But, wow, what a great time! Mike and Duffy were fantastic hosts who made us feel right at home. MIke sat down with us the first night and talked local restaurants and gave us recommendations for great hikes in the area. Breakfast was fantastic. There were probably 5-7 choices each morning, with some simple classics as well as some more unique and/or seasonal choices (an Irish-inspired hash and pumpkin pancakes, for example!). And Mike doesn't skimp on the portions either! Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and yummy cookies always available and a great little bar area for your evening let-down. We stayed in the Jackson Village Suite. SO NICE! Bed was incredibly comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was ginormous. The only downside, as others have mentioned, is that the Inn is close to a busy road and you do hear the traffic. This didn't bother us, however, but if you are a light sleeper, I would suggest asking for a room toward the back of the Inn. Thanks, Mike! We will be back someday!

Would have received an "excellent" except for the road noise from the busy road it is on. There is nothing they can do about that. They did leave ear plugs on the bedside table. First time there so I can't comment if the rooms on the backside of the house were more quiet.
Temporary Inn Keeper Mike was very personable. Bar was a nice touch. Lots of comfy chairs and couches if you wanted to hang in the common areas. Breakfast was a full on affair, not the usual fare for a B&B. If I had indulged I would have needed a nap afterward!
Needed hooks in the bathroom.

Room Tip: Maybe ask for a room away from the road?

Greetings Jonathan and thank you for taking the time to write a review on the Bernerhof. As we all know, years ago large homes and Inns such as ours were built very close to the road and unfortunately early morning noise is a complaint we hear from time to time. I will happily tell you we are very soon installing acrylic interior windows to buffer most of the road noise, or all of it!! They will undoubtably help our situation, so the next time you visit us it will only be that much better. I am glad you had an enjoyabe visit and I look forward to seeing you soon! Mike

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bernerhof Inn Bed and Breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made you feel right at home. The home was lovely. There were several choices for breakfast. All cooked to request and presented in a tasteful fashion. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Trip Advisor for helping me find this location.

Room Tip: Enjoyed the first floor room, not having to climb stairs.
