I've always preferred hotels over B&Bs and have avoided B&Bs for the last 10 years. My wife booked this place and told me how wonderful this place appeared.....my wife was absolutely correct! What sets this place apart from other establishments are the owners, Steve and Katey. They want their guests to have the best experience and are not only concerned about making some cash! Every thing they did showed their care for their guests....delicious mint brownies, a wonderful breakfast, clean rooms, chocolates on your pillow, theme music as you entered your room.

If you want to be treated like royalty, this is the place to go! I am still cautious on staying at B&Bs, but would not hesitate to stay at any B&B that have owners like Steve and Katey. Thanks for making our vacation a memorable and successful one.

Dear Golfing Junkie from CA: Your recap made our day! We both loved reading about your enjoyment and relaxation while at our Bernerhof Inn Bed and Breakfast! Thank you for taking the time out of your west coast schedule to give kudos to our home. We promise to stay on top of our game anytime you need a B&B Fix. The White Mountains give us a great backdrop for a comfy Inn like ours and awesome guests like you are why we do it!

Have a great spring and summer and remember you have friends in the business now...

The Bernerhof Inn is picturesque and quaint. It is true to the photo's. The hospitality is 5 star. Our first experience at a bed and breakfast couldn't have been any better. We felt very welcomed. Did not feel like strangers at all. The food was exceptional. Service was exceptional. All in a very relaxing and cozy atmosphere. Steve and Katey provided personal attention that we have not found anywhere else. We will not hesitate to return.

Room Tip: Looks like any room would be a good choice.

Welcome to your first B&B! The review was nice to contrast from the previous write up that were well traveled B&B guests. We have created new fans of inns - very nice! The pleasure of being your first was all ours and thank you very much for the A ratings on our food and overall experience you found from your Providence - White Mountains trip. When you next visit your place up here, you will want to bring relatives to stay at yours and you both, stay at The Bernerhof again...

We loved having you up, stay in touch and send some Dells on a scorching day up here :)!

Thank you, Katey and Steve

Dear new Rhode Island Friends: We welcomed your "B&B Junkie" status and are pleased to see we earned our stripes in your book! The conversations we had and the laughs were appreciated on our part as well. Thank you for the kind recap and continue your explorations of B&B's whilst we await your next trip up. The Jackson Village Room would be perfect for your son to join on a road trip to reminisce the one you mentioned having taken with him as well!

Enjoy the summer - Thank you again.

My wife and I just returned from spending three nights at this beautiful inn celebrating our 20th anniversary of meeting each other (and the 20th anniversary of our first trip together -- to this very inn). To say that Steve and Katey were the perfect hosts would be an understatement. They both went to incredible lengths to make sure that everything was perfect for this surprise trip for my wife, from tracking down my wife’s favorite flowers for our room from local florists to making sure the champagne was chilled in time for our arrival. My wife and I are both somewhat picky eaters (only eat seafood, only eat certain kinds of cheese ….) and, when we mentioned it to Steve at the bar on our first night, he took it as a challenge. The next day, he went shopping just to make us our own delicious scallop dinner for two (not on the menu) that evening. (At the same time, another guest asked about a kind of liquor that Steve did not stock at the bar and, on the same shopping trip, he picked up a bottle so that he would have it for that guest the next night.) Our room (The Bretton Woods) was immaculate, and featured an in-room Jacuzzi and our own private porch area. The massages that we got in the inn’s spa (both by Caryn) were among the best we have ever had anywhere in the world, from Thailand to the Caribbean. And, Steve and Katey’s one-year-old dog, Holly, is one of the best guides you could ever have to show you around the property’s nature trail. Everything at the inn was better than we remembered it from 20 years ago. But, the real difference is that Steve and Katey are there now, and they make the inn special and make you feel special.

Dear Brent and Jennifer; We are absolutely honored to have been your hosts for the big "20" Anniversary that you chose to spend with us. Your review touched upon the exact reason why we find innkeeping the best times we could wish for. When you first contacted us to help set up the special stay we knew that this was a visit that would transcend a weekend stopover. We loved being part of your specific and caring considerations to surprise Jennifer! To have the honor of being hosts for your time together would be anyone's envy, so the Thank You goes back to both of you!

Going to the market to find some custom dinner dishes is actually a treat, we can only hope to have the same experience with you both whenever you return. Thank you for the candor and time spent laughing and sharing moments with us as well, you are a great couple and fun to have in the house!

Congratulations on your milestone anniversary and a big appreciation thank you from us for the time taken to record your opinion on being with us, 20 years after the adventure began.
