We stopped for a quick meal. I had a burger served on greens instead of a bun and my husband had a thai fish dish. Both were high quality. The waitress was attentive and efficient. Pretty good beer selection too.

N44°23.346' W71°10.647' La Bottega Saladino’s was closed for the season, so the only serious dining option in Gorham was Libby’s Bistro & Saalt Pub.
An old bank building, including a vault full of liquor, serves both customers looking for globally inspired cuisine incorporating local ingredients in Libby’s Bistro and customers looking for more down to earth but still nice cuisine in Saalt Pub. The kitchen serves both restaurants. We choose the Saalt Pub, because it was full of local people. Always a good sign.
Waiting for a table (we do not like eating at the bar) in August 2013, we met the father of the owner checking weekly on the performances of his son. He was proud on his achievements.
The main dishes (chicken and fish) were nice, but lacked taste and flavour. Maybe our expectations were too high. Nothing more to write about. Atmosphere in Saalt Pub was great and service exceptional.

This is my second time reviewing Saalt Pub, the first being when they were in the basement of the parent restaurant, Libby's Bistro (a superb dining experience in it's own right). The move upstairs with more room and a greater menu is fantastic. The bar is an intimate size that seats 8-10 people comfortably and there are 6-8 two to four top tables in what was once the main room of a bank. The drink menu is incredible with many cocktails mixed at the bar using local spirits and inventive mixes. There is also a large beer selection with many locally brewed beers. The food is awesome. From the starters such as the Middle Eastern plate with house made hummus, pickled veggies, and homemade pita bread that you can make a complete meal of. There are burgers that you won't find anywhere else but the best bet are the bowls. I had the Vietnamese Beef bowl that was simply a large chunk of locally raised beef seared and cooked perfectly in a bowl of fresh egg noodles, a few vegetables, and an incredible broth with lots of tasty herbs. Nothing fancy but the mixture of taste and texture had me finishing the entire bowl. My wife had the eggplant korma from the grains menu with crispy Indian spiced eggplant and herbs along with Basmati rice. There are other bowls that I will definitely try next time as well as some other menu items that look equally as good and interesting. After having been at the first incarnation of Saalt Pub in the basement we will be back as much as often in the new room upstairs. If you are passing through Gorham, NH, or as the couple we met at the bar, driving up from the southern areas, this is the place to stop for a wonderful dinner and drinks and to meet great people who work there such as Steve the co-owner and bar manager.

This restaurant is such a find between ski resorts... And it's family owned! Service was spot on, food fit for a goumand and the entire place's vibe is special! Our table had a bit of everything: amazing green salad, Vietnamese noodle bowl and big burger with home cute fries!

Consider yourself lucky to have eaten at Saalts

My family and I were staying in Jackson for a few days of skiing. Being foodies, we wanted a dinner above the usual pub and tavern fare, and hopefully some healthy and vegetarian options for some of our party.
After some research, we came across saalt. We gave them a call and they were open, despite the fact that they're usually closed on Mondays.
We arrived and were warmly welcomed by the family. The atmosphere was cozy. The lighting and decorations were unique and interesting.
Service was friendly, attentive, and conversational. The waiter was happy to answer questions about the food and restaurant establishment.
We started with the middle eastern platter. Delicious assortment of good and the grilled pita bread was outstanding!
As for main courses, we ordered Moroccan chicken with Israeli couscous, winter vegetables over mixed grains, Vietnamese short ribs over noodles with an interesting broth, sausage and lentils, and a lemony Italian salad--winter greens over kale and arugula with Parmesan and more. Also an interesting selection of beers and wine by the glass! We cleaned off all of the plates so had little room for dessert, but decided to taste a lemon creme-filled soft ginger cookie sandwich. Yum!
Each of the dishes was cooked with very different flavors and techniques, but each was perfect for what we were looking for and executed perfectly!
We will definitely come back if we are in the area to taste some of their other offerings!

Thank grafica
