We stayed at Ashworth by the Sea because we had tickets to a concert at a nearby venue. Colleen at the front desk was wonderful right from the start. We noticed that there were a couple of holiday parties going on and she assured us that we wouldn't be able to hear any of the noise from our room. She was right. Our room was very quiet. AND - They blocked all of the party goers together so that they could have their fun without disturbing other guests. It was a win win situations. The valet was so nice and he didn't adjust the radio or anything else in our car as so many of them do. The room was clean and well appointed. I look forward to coming back here when the town isn't buttoned up and getting blocked into the party floor! Thank you Ashworth. It was lovely!

Room Tip: Ask for the 2nd or 3rd floor on the North side of the hotel if you want to be away from the bar noise. You can't hear anything over there! It's great!

For a seaside hotel, kudos to this place. Placed us in top floor beautiful view space that DID NOT smell like mold. This is a hard thing to do, so kudos.
THE INDOOR POOL
My four-year liked it and loved the pool but missed having a hot tub. The pool was very warm, but no bathroom, no clock. And a cold shower made this long cold walk back to the room less appealing, The boy gave it 3 swims out of 4.
THE ROOM: OceanV 2 queen
The double queen room was fabulous and the only trouble I had was with the sliding mirrored doors of closet-they slipped the rails, don't you just hate that? The balcony was so nice. I am sure it could be quite noisy there in the summer as the hotel is on the prime drag. Expanded cable over a 32" flat screen easily rotates away from sleeping far bed so to quietly watch from the desk(and visa versa!)
Room service was affordable, accommodating(pb&j not on menu-but made), and Speedy. Just remember to hold the door-they are heavy! Added sense of security.
Good place all around.

Room Tip: If you don't care about the view, book 1st floor near pool.

Hi we stayed here in early October and enjoyed the experience apart from the smell in the lobby! On entering to check in I thought the smell (like an artificial air freshener) was overwhelming but would probably be gone shortly. Well each time we went through the lobby it was the same, I dont know how the staff put up with it, maybe they are used to it but it was very off putting. Our room was fine and we would have had somewhat of a view of the ocean,(we were in a room that had a balcony on the side of the hotel) if the weather had not been so bad. For the 2 days we were there it rained continuously and the wind was really gusting but it sounded lovely and wild so made us appreciate being in such a nice room. Got a good deal on this hotel on the LivingSocial website so were pleased all worked out so well for us.

We were here in the middle of October so most of the town had closed up shop, but it was still a lovely stay. We had a room on the third floor facing the ocean. Beautiful view, wonderful ocean sounds, big room, comfy bed, nice large bathroom.

The floor was a little odd in that it was slanted in places so I think this updated hotel once used this space for something else. A very minor oddity in a good place to stay. The staff was helpful and offered me another room when I expressed concern about my wife's wheelchair. We found the first room worked out best in any case. They use the off season to update the rooms and while we were out one day, came back to a new sofa! Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Best view is 301 or 302. Even though the road is below, you are three floors up and it's not exactly an expressway. We didn't notice traffic sounds and could still hear the ocean.

Spent a weekend with the family at the Ashworth. I couldn't believe it when I walked in. Pete, the manager offered to help with my suitcases!!! Now where else would that happen? Only at the Ashworth where everybody goes all out to ensure a great time. The menu this fall is the best I have seen there. It has changed a bit from the summer fare and the new featured items are incredible; the new portabello mushroom pasta has an incredible sauce 'to die' for, and the iceberg lettuce wedge, drenched in Blue Cheese and fresh, crumbled bacon was scrumptious. We plan to go back sometime in the winter under the guise of enjoying the ocean, but in all honesty, I think we enjoy the Ashworth more. Adjoining rooms turn the weekend into a party.

Room Tip: Splurge! Go for the ocean front. The view is awesome! In summer you will have a front row seat for the Wednesday night fireworks display.
