We went to Hampton with family and close friends for a night to celebrate our oldest daughter's birthday. We originally booked a night with another hotel, got there, and turned right around deciding to see if we could get a room here instead. The staff quickly set us all up in rooms right across from one another. Bell hops grabbed our bags and helped us get our baggage to the rooms. We had 4 rooms and we gave the kids the big room to hang out in, watch TV and loaded the room fridge up with snacks and drinks we brought (kids under 16 stay free). On several occasions we all went down to the pool, and hung out. We were downstairs at the in house restaurant for dinner, and the next morning for breakfast (there are two restaurants on site). Later in the evening the wives went to the night club right on site to enjoy some drinks. For dinner it is very kid friendly and the staff was on top of our order. The location of the hotel is so convenient to the shoppes which we all went out, explored, and walked around. The beach is right there as well and we were able to walk along the water.
The weather was a bit cool for swimming and it was over cast but it was still beautiful and pleasant. Definitely going back.
Thank you for posting and glad you had a great time here at Ashworth by the Sea. Happy the the front desk was able to get all your rooms near each other. The pool is a great place to relax and we keep it heated so its not too cool like the Ocean. We hope to have you back here in the future.

My husband and I have stopped in several times since early summer to enjoy a quick appetizer and some cocktails in the lounge. The cocktails were delicious, and the appetizers were phenomenal for the price. We tried the chacuterie board (enough for two) and the nachos (enough for three). Our servers those times were both great - Mary and Bobby, real pros - very down to earth and who know how to mix a drink!!

Just had a lovely dinner on our first night here to celebrate out anniversary. Andrei was a phenomenal server and was very attentive! Cannot wait to come back for another amazing time and hopefully have another great server.

We have been staying at the Ashworth, every June for the past 6 years. We pay the higher price because, honestly, it’s the best hotel on the beach. But, for the money you pay, there should be more. It’s time to get new furniture, carpet and wallpaper. Our wallpaper was coming off the walls in many places. Seems like there had been a leak in the bathroom at some point, based on the look of the ceiling edge. Housekeeping could be a lot better. Our room was never vacuumed. We were there for 3 nights. Our bottled water was also not replaced on day 2. Also there isn’t any info about the room, room service, hotel amenities or anything else, in the room. You pay over 16.00 per night for these things, but don’t know how to get them. I’ve already reviewed the Breakers. That was bad, really bad. In the past meals there were quite good. I’m not sure if it’s a staffing issue or what, but it’s very unlikely that we will go back next summer.

We are currently planning for a rooms renovation in the near future and hope we can show you that in time. As a guest you should have had plenty of water and you did not. Our front desk or housekeeping departments can get you water if it was not re-filled during your stay. Very sorry to not replenish them in your room. We take pride in being a very clean hotel and should be vacuuming daily, thank you for letting us know. If you do decide to use our hotel and restaurant again please call me before you come. We would love to make it up to you.
My husband and I stayed at the Ashworth for our 30th Anniversary, Ocean Front room. Everyone was super friendly, room was nice and clean and the balcony with clear plexiglass was great. Only down fall they could use to update their chairs on the balcony and add a nice table would make it so much better. They should put a room service menu in the rooms also, we didn’t know they did room service until we were checking out and saw that someone on our floor had gotten some. Price was good because we booked far in advance. We will definitely be back. A must if you like to relax after a day on the beach or the boardwalk . Perfect for a cocktail and people watching.
Well BKelly, first let me Congratulate you on your anniversary..well done! Great we could be a supporting role in the celebration. We are in the process of planning renovations for 2019/2020 and upgrades to deck chairs will certainly be added. Rooms service is definitely a part of our full service offerings and I do apologize that your room was missing that. New menus are actually being delivered to rooms this week so when you return I hope you have a chance to experience dinner, snacks or simply a drink while on your balcony!
