“Great value this time of year”
Reviewed 6 March 2011

This is the first time we stayed at the Ashworth. We love going to the sea shore any time of the year. The room was very clean with side ocean view.(A little small but functional) The dining room was equally impressive with good value. We will be returning again soon.

I do believe that the sheets on our bed were not changed there were many, many hairs on the pillow and they were extremely wrinkled and crumbled. The price of reserving on line at their website was 10 dollars cheaper than what I was charged. The staff were very professional and friendly EXCEPT the bartender Jim. He didnt smile wasnt friendly and could have cared less that we were there, When I asked for the beer selections he pointed at the taps????? which I clearly couldnt see from where I was sitting sorry you had a bad day but the bartenders i know smile and have no problem reading off a few beer selections. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding as was the service. The bathroom was very clean. The entertainment was also wonderful. the views are beautiful from most rooms and most of the staff are very accomadating. With some clean sheets and more acurate pricing its a nice place to stay and have everything you need right there.

Thank you for your input from your previous stay here at the Ashworth by the Sea. We appreciate hearing back from our guests and are always looking at ways to improve our services.

We do apologize for any inconvenience that was caused over confusion on our posted internet rates and for the issues experienced in your guest room.

Our property does offer great views of the ocean and is located right across the street from the beach. We are also glad you enjoyed our entertainment which we have every weekend.

Again, we do thank you for your feedback and look forward to serving you in the future!

Regards,
Peter Coutis, General Manager

I have traveled for 31 years as a flight attendant and have stayed in thousands of hotels in this country and throughout the world. My stay at the Ashworth was as delightful as I have had anywhere in my travels. The front desk and valet service folks could not do enough for you, and this was a visit during vacation week. I was there for a half-marathon, so the additional crowd would have understandably skewed the demeanor of the best of us in the service industry, but not those at the Ashworth. Despite living in NH, I had never heard of this hotel prior to my stay. I am so happy to have found them and will return this summer!

We got the top room, with a full view of the ocean and boulevard. The service was top notch, the food in the restaurants was delicious and the atmosphere was welcoming. The room was beautiful and clean. We had a large, very pretty bathroom. The water in the shower was not hot enough. I would love to go back again.

We just stayed one night for a nice night of dining and dancing. The staff was great, the food was great, the bed was extremely comfortable, the brunch the next morning was fantastic and then a nice wintry walk on the beach. We had a great time!

It was a lovely time...we were trying to get away from all the packing, we had just bought a house and were taking a break..we had lovely service at the bar, of course nothing can beat the ocean, walks on the beach, watching the sun rise, and even getting a sightly later checkout even though the hotel was full for New Year's Eve. We were even able to bring our dog, which was so convenient and made the evening more enjoyable, since she probably loves the beach more than we do!
