My wife and I had a very pleasant dining experience at Savory Square Bistro. The waitress and staff was very professional, attentive and pleasant. The food was excellent and we were both stuffed by rhe time that we left. We had a free $25.00 gift certificate through dine.restaurant.com and we chose this restaurant because we enjoyed another restaurant that the owner of this restaurant owns. We found that Savory Square Bistro meets the standards of the other restaurant. Even without a gift certificate, we will return.

Went to the Savory Square Bistro on a recent Saturday evening. We had a reservation for 5 and arrived 10 minutes early and our table was ready. This was a first visit for my husband and I, two others in our party had dined here before. First off, the waitress we had was awesome. She was enthusiastic about the menu items and made great recommendations. All our apps were delicious. The crispy chili chicken was a hit. We all ordered different entrees and they all received rave reviews. Looking forward to a return visit.

We have eaten here twice now, and we are so glad we discovered this place! You can eat in either the dining room or the bistro; we prefer the dining room as the noise level in the bistro is a bit high for our liking. That's personal preference not a complaint. Both meals we've had here were delicious with a nice presentation, and the chef was willing to substitute a vegetable and leave out an ingredient without any problem. Ingredients were fresh, sauces were not too heavy, and proteins were perfectly cooked (had the duck one evening and fish another). Seafood chowder is full of seafood and firm potatoes; not too creamy with just right amount of butter. Wines by the glass are an average of $9 (we were told Riff was their house pinot grigio, but it's not at a "house" price); martinis were $10. Our only complaint was the long wait we experienced on both visits for our food to arrive (about a half hour) which had nothing to do with the taste, it's quality, the preparation, or the ambiance (all of which we enjoyed very much). We also had to ask for table settings when our meal was served (we had no napkins or silverware), and our server referred to us as "you guys" which is a pet peeve of mine (especially since only one of us was a 'guy'). Had she not been so pleasant, we might have suggested she not use this expression during her service, but we didn't want to put a damper on the otherwise enjoyable experience. We will continue to dine here when we have time for a leisurely meal as the food is worth the wait!
