“I wish we had gone somewhere else”
Reviewed 4 January 2014 via mobile

We had heard that Pine was inconsistent. Unfortunately we were there on a bad night. We went early and settled in for a drink by the fireplace. There was only a few patrons in the restaurant and plenty of staff but we waited a long time before a waiter came over and acknowledged or presence.
After our drinks we were seated by the window. It was a bitter cold evening and it was cold by the window. There was a heater under the window but it was turned off.
After another long wait our waitress asked us if we wanted something to drink. Now knowing the service is slow we ordered our meal at the same time. After a while a basket of bread was provided which held us over until our dinners were served which took quite a while. Our potato leek soup was flavorless and cold, our gnocchi was over cooked and pasty and my pasta was undercooked and chewy.
If you are looking for atmosphere, Pine is great, but if you want good service and good food, go somewhere else.

“Scary bartender”
Reviewed 2 January 2014

The service at the bar was horrible and the bartender is super creepy. He was unfriendly, creepy, creepy, creepy, creepy and clearly didn't know how to address and assist customers. I had to wave to get my drink numerous times and the bar was not crowded at all. It was seriously obnoxious how he was unable to service customers.

“Excellent meal”
Reviewed 1 January 2014

The worst part of the meal was trying to decide what to order from the impressive menu. My wife and I enjoyed the duck and the steak, with mac-and-cheese and pizza for the kids.

“A treasure for Hanover!”
Reviewed 25 December 2013 via mobile

Loved being pleasantly surprised by this new restaurant inside the Hanover Inn. Welcoming atmosphere, cozy bar and seating area. Great menu that satisfies many appetites! I got the salmon with lentils, which was cooked to perfection. Good wine list as well. Will return soon.

“Excellent Service”
Reviewed 7 December 2013

A group of 6 of us ate here last week and had a faultless night mainly due to our excellent waiter who not hover uncomfortably and was very knowledgeably especially in regard to cocktails. Food was great, burgers were generous and the restaurant was warm and very comfortable. The Sundaes and S'mores were both terrific desserts though a total over indulgence.
