Because this is an Inn, I expected a tiny room. I got a mini-suite with a bedroom, sitting room, walk-in closet, and private bathroom. Clean. I often go to the pub and restaurant downstairs, but have never stayed there. You can hear people in the hallway, but fortunately, all the other guests were really considerate. They had a band that evening in the pub, so I could just walk up the stairs to bed, instead of going outside. It was 4 degrees out! Lovely place, nice staff. Will definitely stay again. Great value, because I booked it 2 months earlier.

Room Tip: My suite was No. 9

Our group’s only complaint was the band was setting up for the evening and they came in the side door. behind our table. It would have been ok if they made one trip and they closed the door behind them. But they made multiple trips, piled their gear around us and they didn’t’ close the door fully behind them. In Fact I tried to close the door fully and was not successful (misaligned doors be an accepted part of the charm of a quaint restaurant.) This started before we had finished dinner and this went on for more than 45 minutes. We may have stayed for another drink, but after the experience we just wanted to leave.

The band members and wait staff never apologized for any inconvenience; even though the breeze was 5 degrees, no exaggeration it was that cold. We mentioned it to the hostess when we left and she asked if “did we had finish are meal? “ Yes we did, but what did that have to do with anything? After the fact we thought that we could have moved, but sometimes you don’t think clearly plus we thought they must close finishing. Kind of makes you not want to go back to place and we go to Jackson every year for the cross-county skiing

My husband and I spent a nice couple of hours at the Wildcat Inn and Tavern. We stayed across the street within walking distance. We were hoping that we would get lucky and stumble upon a hidden gem and we did! The food and service was great. The atmosphere is very much apre's ski and we will definitely go back. James was our server and he was very attentive and pleasant.

We Stayed in this charming Inn, with friendly staff for the weekend and enjoyed it so much we plan on going back time and time again. The food was so good. You can order your breakfast off a menu with so many yummy choices it is so hard to choose. The rooms was so
beautiful with a view of the mountains. We got a great night sleep and enjoyed the skiing.
The best part is that you can park your car for the weekend and never need it. The shovel Handle pub was so great for dinner. We will be back.
Thank You!
Very warm and cozy!!!

Expect an old building with outdated utilities. The heat doesn't work properly (full on blasting heat or full off freezing). The water pressure is nonexistent and we literally had a dripping shower. We waited 20 minutes before receiving a menu at the restaurant and were told by the waitress that she was the only one working. To many, the old building and historic structure is part of the charm and preserving the eclectic atmosphere may be important to them. Personally, I prefer old world charm with new world amenities and service.
