You are among two streams, mountains and with in walking distance of restaurants and unusual galleries in the middle of a picturesque New England town. There is a large porch to sit at to take in the views and hear the water and smell the fresh air. Outlet shopping is 20 minutes away. The innkeepers love of people shows through in all they do and provide. There are little extra's here: DVD's, Blu-rays very good Wi-Fi connection, satellite tv, fresh coffees and tea, books and puzzles and maps, creams and lotions and even q tips! Sue and Gary are knowledgeable and caring. Snowflake Inn is a romantic oasis with all the modern conveniences.

The Snowflake Inn seems to have an identity issue. It's a combination of Pocono's Romance and Year 'round Christmas. The decor is a combination of snowmen, snowflakes, Christmas trees, hearts, flowers, and bedside jacuzzi tubs. Our fellow guests seemed to be mostly seniors and many were return visitors who are in love with the place. The resident family that owns and runs it is down to earth and dedicated. There is an indoor pool/hot tub surrounded by rolled up red towels and lit pillar candles with sliding doors that look out to a porch where a fire pit is lit at night with all the supplies to make smores. Now that's really pretty neat for inn keepers to do. But the chlorine churned up into the air from the tub jets was so strong that it burned our throats and we couldn't stay in it long. I saw a reviewer write that the continental breakfast was not very good. What? Do you know what continental breakfast usually is? Bananas, yogurt, coffee, and sub-par pastries if you're lucky. This was the best "continental" breakfast we ever had. No there wasn't any eggs or sausage and the only protein was the plain yogurt for you to scoop into your excellent quality granola or fresh beautiful fruit. The fresh baked scones and nut bread was wonderful. One thing stood out to us as a weak point. In the large sun filled area where the breakfast is served, there are only two tables to sit and eat at. All other seating is living room type chairs and sofas w/coffee tables or end tables. Not really comfortable for eating cereal or balancing a plate of fruit and pastry. It wasn't for lack of space. There was tons of space. Too much almost. Just begging for at least two more round bistro tables for folks to sit at to eat. Maybe folks took their food back to their rooms but there was no table in our room. A giant jacuzzi tub right in the bedroom left no room for a desk or table.

There were fresh baked cookies out for the taking almost all the time. The place smells nice and is very clean. Their are gas fireplaces and a nice big TV in the room, and yes, the smaller room in the suites need to be repurposed with a table or desk and a large mirror to reflect daylight into the windowless space but in the end I wound up enjoying my stay at the Snowflake much more than I thought I would on first arrival. It was peaceful. Very peaceful. If that's something you would enjoy; if you love Christmas; or if you are into jacuzzi's and hot tubs you will probably really like it too. I'd go back.

Room Tip: There is no elevator and there are two floors. If you have a lot of heavy luggage you might want to...

We stayed here using a Living social 1/2 price deal. The Inn is clean, well appointed and the continental breakfast was adequate. The room although clean and spacious was sparsely arranged. There were no tables, desks, chairs in the bedroom or luggage racks. We were able to adjust. The deal was, we were suppose to receive a gift of towels and champagne flutes. These were not forthcoming. The staff was friendly. Overall OK.

We found this wonderful all-suite hotel in Jackson for a two night layover on our way to visit friends. The rooms are spacious and have king beds, a two person Jacuzzi and gas fireplaces. The common room is lovely with its own fireplace and all day coffee and tea service. There is a patio with a wood fire burning n the evening so you can roast marshmallows, etc. There is a continental breakfast with juice, yogurt, granola, sweet breads and pastries and lots of fresh fruit. One real treat is the granola. They roast it on the premises with their own recipe and it is delicious.

Room Tip: The nicest rooms seem to be upstairs, but they are long and steep, so ask for a ground floor room if...

We confidently and enthusiastically recommend the Snowflake Inn. We enjoyed our quiet stay very much and will return. The owners/innkeepers and staff are pleasant, friendly, helpful, and accommodating AND they listen to guests' needs, which is greatly appreciated.. The inn is cozy and comfortable, and our room was immaculately clean, which is also greatly appreciated. The location is perfect! It's in a quiet spot, yet is close enough to get to anything you might need. There are several natural attractions very nearby, and the Jackson area has lovely, quaint shops and galleries(Snowflake also has two on its property!). Billed as a continental breakfast, what Snowflake provides is a lovely and tasty treat, which was more than enough to call a meal! That was another nice perk! To finish the day, a lovely fire glowed on the back patio, and marshmallows were out for roasting! We loved our time at Snowflake Inn!

Room Tip: We had the room over the registration area, which is VERY private and spacious. We will request thi...

As someone who relies (probably too much) on tripadvisor to get the lowdown on what my hotel is going to be like, I have found that navigating the positive and negative reviews can be a minefield. This review of the Snowflake Inn in Jackson will hopefully help you sift through some of the noise. This is the second visit we have had at the Snowflake. We came back in February and I proposed to my fiancee on the frozen pond at Nestlenook. We came back this past weekend in order to get a little relaxation and to take advantage of the free third night offered to returning guests! Our room was perfect. On our drive up, my fiancee said that the only drawback to the Snowflake was that they had outdated TV sets. Sure enough, when we checked in there were DirectTV technicians installing new TVs, blu-ray players, and full satellite cable. While we didn't come up here to watch TV, it was a nice amenity to have when we were falling asleep at night.

Sue and Gary do such a great job with the inn. We enjoyed the indoor pool/spa, spent a day kayaking on the Saco and then enjoyed a nice dinner across the street at the Wildcat Tavern. Jackson Falls was beautiful and the perfect setting for a relaxing day of sun and water. The ambiance of the Inn is perfect for anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic getaway. And for those of you fitness nuts, they are installing a full gym that should open in August. What's not to love! The coffee, tea and breakfast were just perfect after two days of gorging ourselves on big breakfasts at Yesterdays. Wine tasting on Saturday was the perfect touch.

I know that this review has been a bit all over the place, but I can't say enough good things about the Snowflake Inn. We can't wait to come back this winter!

Room Tip: We have been on the second floor overlooking the back of the property both visits and we have no com...

We used our Groupon to book one night at the Inn. We spent the day adventuring on the Kancamangus Highway and arrived through the covered red bridge to this beautiful inn. We were greeted warmly by a young lady at the front desk and our room was conveniently located on the first floor. The inn and room were immaculate, the bed was super comfy, great two person jacuzzi in the room and the bathroom/shower were terrific. There was fresh coffee and chocolate chip cookies available in the great room. In the morning, there was delicious coffee and a continental breakfast of fresh baked pastries/breads, fresh fruit, granola and yogurt. We walked across the street to the Wildcat Inn for dinner. One call-out; the scents of candles, air fresheners was pretty overwhelming. Once we opened our windows in the room, it dissipated.

If you are looking for an old New England Inn, the Snowflake is not that as it is more recently built. The Wentworth down the street is more along those lines.

The owners of the Snowflake keep the property beautiful and work very hard to make your stay a special one. Highly recommend!
