We swung through here on a tip from a Wildcat employee on a whim and were so glad we did! We were early in the season (May) so parking wasn't much of an issue but the lot is small and likely packed in the peak months, so try to get there early on in the day if you want to find a spot! Parking/fee was self-service and I believe $3. We took a 5 year old and a 3 year old and it was a bit of a hike for the younger ones but not out of the question. At the end of the walk we were rewarded with breathtaking views of the falls. Closer to the road/parking lot we found a tame area to wade and splash. Would recommend stopping by the falls if you're in the area!

Beware of the steps. I counted 140. We were not prepared for the amount of steps. But- the falls are absolutely worth it. Gorgeous and mystical. The path is also a little muddy.

Very pretty spot. Parking is very tight. Not for anyone with walking difficulty. Pay attention to your kids - have been there when creeps are also paying attention to creeps too.

The parking lot is on the opposite side of the road from Ellis River Falls (aka Glen Ellis Falls). Access to the .3 mile trail to the falls is through a pedestrian tunnel under the street. The well-travelled trail parallels the river and includes 155+/- stone steps down to the base of the falls. After the final turn in the trail is a small viewing platform - look to the left ... there it is. Ellis River Falls plunges 64 feet down a rocky cliff into a small pool before continuing down river. Large rocks and crude wood railings are used as natural but minimal safety buffers along the trail and at the viewing platform. This can be a popular spot but we arrived on a weekday before sunset and had it to ourselves.

Well worth the short hike in, we cooled off from the mist as the water cascaded down the falls. Be carful as the trail is somewhat slippery from the mist, hold onto the handrails provided. The kids enjoyed as much as we did.
