“Good Eats”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2014

We had dinner on a Tuesday evening and had a great deal when we ordered the Twin lobster special. Maine lobster at an affordable price. Also, the wildcat walnut salad was delicious and large enough to share. This place also services great regional beers.

“Wild for the Wildcat Inn”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 March 2014

My husband and I have stayed at the Wildcat Inn numerous times. This year, we decided to stay at a different place, but we knew that we still had to have a meal at the Inn. We went to the "2 dinners for $24.50" on Wednesday, March 19th. I had called the week before to make a reservation for 7pm, and we arrived at 6:45. The manager told us that there was also a party of 37 at 7:00, so he sat us right away, so that he could make sure our order was taken before the big party order got into the kitchen! And, our waitress, Heather, also made sure to get our order in, and was very attentive to us the whole time we were there. The restaurant was pretty full, but our order came quickly. I had the New England Baked Stuffed Haddock, and my husband had the Char Broiled Top Sirloin Steak. Both were excellent, and we were totally satisfied with our meals. We would recommend the Inn, not only for their food, but for their hospitality when we have stayed there on previous vacations.

“Quality has gone downhill over the years”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 March 2014

Years ago this place used to have some of the best high quality food in the area. We have been going for over fifteen years. There were wonderful buffets and brunches that are no more. The only special is the 2 for 24.50 now. For several years there were great choices on that menu from prime rib, filet, lamb, sumptuous seafood. Now there is a lot of chicken, pork and basic salmon, the cheaper less fancy dishes. 2 years in a row the quality and taste has been very disappointing. For the price you only get the entrée, no salad, soup or dessert. We got the "scallop pie" with "newburg" sauce and "crab stuffing" on top. There were about 6-8 very small sea scallops with no flavor whatsoever. The was no taste to the newburg sauce either and the crab stuffing had no noticeable crab but all butter ritz crackers. The only saving grace was the butternut squash that was the veggie for the night. That was very good. The service was terrible. They sat us at a table in the bar between the 2 "ski lift chair tables. The waitress never even noticed us. The 2 men who were seated at the table behind us ten minutes after us were waited on first (hard to not spot us since our chairs were almost touching). We finally got the attention of the waitress and ordered water and our food. 2 minutes later the men next to us got their water but none for us. Ten minutes later we walked up to the bar and ordered our own glasses of water. That was just the tip of the iceburg for the night. Won't be going back. There are other restaurants in the area with specials that offer you more food and much better quality.

“Wednesday night 2 for 1 special”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2014 via mobile

It's a tavern and a restaurant, decorated with a cozy New Hampshire ski inn style. Big bar with generous drink portions.
We came for the special, 2 for $24.95 dinner. NiCe choices. Got salads and the French onion soup, delicious and hearty soup.

Hung out by the fire and played cribbage with another friendly couple that we friended.

Noticed that a huge group of 30 from Connecticut was here for dinner. They have been coming here for 8 years. Even with that group, our dinner was timely.

Quieter than crazy North Conway.

“Wildcat is a great spot!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2014

We had dinner @ the Wildcat with a large party (10) last Saturday evening and just wanted to let visitors to the Jackson/Bartlett area that the Wildcat is a great choice for dinner! Food was well prepared all round and everyone was pleased. With a large group, including kids, we had a wide variety of entrees.

Nicole was our server and she was great despite being very busy as the dining room was full. And importantly, they were very sensitive to an allergy alert that our daughter has. We had little ones so couldn't hang out in the tavern but the entertainment sounded good and the atmosphere in the bar is always very fun.

Great spot and worth a visit!
