My husband and I recently spent a weekend at the Wentworth. We had booked a hot tub room in the Fairlawn building for the previous weekend, but due to a family illness we were unable to make it. The booking agent was very kind upon learning of our situation and gave us a gift certificate for the first night and did not charge our card for the second night. I thought this was very nice of them since I did not give them the notice stated in their terms. They could have just charged us for the first night but they didn't. We could not get a hot tub room the next weekend but we did stay in the Amster building. The room was beautiful and did have a hot tub in the courtyard. We never saw any of the other guests so we had the hot tub and sauna all to ourselves. The rooms in the Amster building are "older" than the Fairlawn, but the are very large and very comfortable. Lots of charm and character. We booked the breakfast & dinner package. Both nights we enjoyed a four course dinner. All of our meals, breakfast and dinner were wonderful. The only "miss" was the crème brulee my husband had at dinner the second night, but that was minor. All of the employees we encountered were great, even the handy man who always made a point to talk to us whenever we ran into him. We will definitely go back to the Wentworth and will recommend it to our friends.

Room Tip: The Amster building is very quiet and offers a courtyard hot tub and sauna. It is also located righ...

Dear Priscilla S:
I do agree, our Amster rooms are quite charming! Our hot tub rooms are very popular, we were able to fill the room the weekend you were unable to visit us. I am pleased that we were able to accommodate you for the weekend you were looking for.
Hopefully the next time you visit, you are able to stay in one of our new suites with private outdoor hot tubs - we have 12 of them under construction, and they should be available this summer!

My fiance and I have stayed in Arden twice (409 & 407). The location, the character of the buildings and rooms, the food, the view- WHAT ARE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT? I have seen plenty of nice reviews, but the poor reviews had hardly any significant complaints- they did not carry my luggage? the drapes aren't my taste? - you can look at pictures prior to arrival.. no tv in the bar? Did you drive out to beautiful, scenic NH to watch tv? If you are considering visiting The Wentworth, I urge you to pay no mind to people with these petty complaints! The Inn has everything you need to have a wonderfully relaxing get-away. One night our room had a musty odor due to the hot tub- we cracked the window and it was gone the next morning. Don't sweat the small stuff otherwise you get in your own way of having a good time.

Dear Ashley220:
How wonderful to read that you enjoy our Inn! It is always nice to hear what we are doing right. We do value even what seem to be "petty complaints" - as we strive to make everyone's stay with us the best that it can be, and we do like to hear how we can improve. Thanks for your patronage, and we look forward to your next stay!

My husband and I have dined at the Wentworth several times, and every time has been exceptional! It's our "go to" place for a special night out just the two of us or with friends and family. The prefixed menu is always our choice featuring something delicious for everyone's taste. The bartender makes an amazing "filthy" martini....among other specialty drinks!! We've sampled many! After dinner we like to go into the bar for Saturday night piano music...sing a long if you want. It's a fun night out from the minute you walk in! Enjoy!

We recently stayed here with our children while skiing, and it was fantastic. Ellie and Fritz are terrific hosts, and both are very involved in making your stay as comfortable as possible, which was a bit surprising to me for a resort of this size. Dinner as well as breakfast were top notch, and there are a few other good options for dinnner within a short drive or walking distance. The level of service compares favorably to any of the luxury hotels we've stayed at. The staff were friendly and helpful, and without exception all seemed to genuinely enjoy assisting the guests. We have stayed here before, and I highly recommend the Wentworth, it is truly better than ever.

The Wentworth is a lovely old inn that has been very well maintained. The rooms have been renovated but the old school character still exists. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and dinner was very good.

Our Weekend at the Wentworth was truly amazing! From the moment we walked in we immediately felt like everyone there was committed to make our weekend a memorable one. The accommodations were excellent especially the Jacuzzi and fireplace at the foot of our bed. The dinners included in our package far exceeded our expectations. The servers made our dinners that more enjoyable! They were excellent servers who were friendly and professional. The owners, Fritz and Eleanor, always made it a point to check in with us and make sure that everything was satisfactory. We enjoyed The Wentworth so much that we actually extended our stay! We will return for sure!

Room Tip: Highly recommend a deluxe room with the fireplace and Jacuzzi!

First time visitors to the Wentworth Inn for Valentine's Day weekend. We had a very enjoyable stay. The accommodations were excellent and comfortable in the Fairlawn Cottage. We enjoyed a hearty delicious breakfast every morning before heading out for XC skiing. I hope the chef remembers to email me the delicious homemade granola served at breakfast made on site. The staff at all levels were super! Snowed for 3 days and the walkways were cleared promptly. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. We enjoyed visiting with other guests we met in the pub and also were entertained by Reid the bar tender. Would definitely recommend the Wentworth and would stay here again without hesitation.

Thank you for your first visit to The Wentworth Hotel and we are very pleased to read that you plan to return. I did see your request this morning for the recipe for our homemade breakfast granola recipe, our breakfast Chef Alan is off today otherwise I would have it for you but for sure I will have it for you tomorrow.
I will also pass along your nice comments towards Reid our bartender so that he may be recognized for his efforts and thank you for recognizing him.
Thank you again and I look forward to welcoming you back very soon.
