I first experienced the hotel for my best friend's wedding last year. Having had such a good time then I had been wanting to return. President's Day weekend was the perfect three day weekend for a getaway, so my boyfriend and I decided on The Wentworth. Making the reservation online was simple enough, and I enjoy the fact that breakfast & dinner is included in the Main Inn rates. During the booking process I had been communicating via email with the hotel staff. I was disappointed with their responses, they did not seem well thought out, they were very informal and sometimes unclear. I ended up having to call to get my questions addressed properly. When working with the staff at the hotel, I was less than impressed with the front desk agents. I would see them be so kind and attentive to families, but as soon as it was my boyfriend and I it was a different story. They were short, brief and didn't even crack a smile. This made both of us uncomfortable, it was like they didn't want to give us the time of day. One staff I was particularly impressed with was Paris in the restaurant. He was very friendly, patient and overall well groomed to be in hospitality. He should teach the front desk a thing or two! We also really enjoyed JD at the bar, she had a great sense of humor! The food in the restaurant was good. Breakfast had a nice variety and was fresh. Dinner service was a bit long, it took over 2 hours from sitting to paying the bill. A bit longer than we wanted. Also the menu was rather small, by the third night it felt repetitive. In regards to our room, we were staying in the Main Inn on the 3rd floor. The room was clean and relatively modern. I wish there were duvet covers over the comforter instead of two sheets. Also, the walls were extremely thin. We could hear every single conversation our neighbor had. Overall I think we may go back again, however not without looking at other options. We experienced both positive and negatives.More
