Fort Jefferson Campground

We have been going to stay at the camp ground for 5 years know. We have seen many upgrades to the camp ground. It only keeps getting better each year we go. It is great to have six gun city right next door to enjoy on top of that, The staff will do what it takes for everyone to have a great time so you will want to return year after year. They can set it up for sites for a group and are very flexable to how you park at your site to almost make like a small camp ground for you in the area you rent.

Went to plug my $20 thousand dollar camper, only to find a burnt out electric outlet. Was told by the rude camp ground employees to not worry about it. Refused to do anything to help us. Our over all opinion was very poor and cramped, huge horse flies everywhere. Would not return our money. Found great camping and comfort just down the road twin mountain.

Stayed hereJuly 27-July 31 with our two kids. It is a very relaxing place. We had a great spot across from the playground. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. We walked to Six Gun City twice, the girls loved it there too! The price was perfect and the location was great! Would definitely recommed it to ours. We met a lot of great people staying there. I just wished their internet connection was better, it went in and out a lot, but that was a minor issue.

We went up for a 3 night stay. Saw the reviews so we were not expecting much. The pull-through was great! The spot was level and we were in front of the pool and playground. The bathrooms were clean but the showers did not hold hot water too long. The staff was helpful and had a free ice cream social for all the campers on Sunday. Never been here before but it looks like some work is being done to increase the camp ground. We were able to walk to Six Gun City which also did not get great reviews but we had a great time and the kids want to go back again. Over all this is not a 5 star resort but it was a comfortable stay for us.

We were three families and we stayed on 3 site together against the woods by the bath house and close to the swings not far from pool… so we could see kids at all times… we walked to Six Gun City… and walked back to camp for lunch… the kids had a blast and we could relax… I will be going back…

I have been camping for many, many years and this campground takes the cake for being the WORST customer service, DIRTIEST bathrooms, UNFRIENDLIEST & UNTRAINED staff. This was the worst trip of my life. There was so much confusion and there wasnt any knowledgable staff on site, not even the managers knew what they were talking about. We rented a pop-up camper for 70$ a night. The staff is "suppose" to let you know how to run the pop-up but unfortunately we were uninformed. So on the last day of our miserable trip the sink flooded into the pop-up getting all of my camping stuff drenched in filthy bucket water!!!! So we informed the staff as to what had happened to our pop up and we were disrespected and mistreated when we tried to discuss our problem. The staff at Fort Jefferson are the rudiest people that run a business that we have ever met. The owner needs to hire some staff with customer service experience and knowledge. DO NOT GO TO FORT JEFFERSON. IT STINKS. AND IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was a little hesitant when I arrived here. it's small and crowded but the staff was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful and my son and I enjoyed our stay very much. we rented a camper for $60 and it was spotless! it was a popup camper with a little kitchenette and a heater. we had out own little firepit for a campfire and i wish i could have stayed longer. the only issue i had was the bathroom. it smelled gross and needed a cleaning (especially the shower area) but all in all, it was a fun time. it's obviously a low budget place but they treat their guests like royalty
i can't wait to go back
