With not many choices in the north country and enjoying bed and breakfasts, we choose the Jefferson Inn. The pictures online looked appealing and we were looking for a quiet getaway. The Inn owner was a very pleasant gentelmen, just the right amount of questions and information with out being to intrusive. Some bed and breakfast owners were we have stayed can be to chatty and we were looking for some quiet. My biggest dissappointment with the Inn is that it looks tired, as if the expense for the upkeep is to much for the owners to take on. It was not the cleanest of inns that we have stayed in. The bed was very comfortable and the inn was quiet.
We were looking forward to breakfast the next morning and that was probably our biggest dissapointment. Scrambled eggs that were very dry and potatoes on the burnt side. The fresh fruit was good, but no muffins, nothing special that we have come to expect at most B&B's. Overall our stay was dissapointing and we would probably not go back. The inn seems to have so much potential, it is just very tired and not well kept.More
