Fabulous family run campground. We found our campsite just private enough yet close enough to any amenities we wanted to use. Water slides were under construction but the pool was wonderful. Rented paddle boats and explored the small lake. It was a perfect evening on the pond. Shower and bathroom facilities were very clean and well kept. Teepee and cabin rental options were nice although we did not stay in one. Great game room for the kids. Looking forward to going back.

This is a one-of-a-kind precious gem! Marie, Maria, Bob, and the whole crew... can't say great enough about them. This place is beautiful, so well-kept; it felt like driving into someone's well-manicured home driveway when we arrived. Remarkably clean!.. Diane, your dedication to the ladies facilities is remarkable (believe it - she'll be cleaning in there 4-5 times a day if it needs it!)-- and Modern! Marie makes wonderful muffins - and they even deliver them to you site (or to friends for you!). The sites are roomy and there are choices of sunny/grassy or in the shady trees; all well maintained! We had a little glitch with our electrical hook-up the first night and Maria and Bob both came down to help get it resolved; it turned out to be my camper, but they didn't hesitate to try to troubleshoot!! The 'only' drawback I had was the Wi-Fi was too slow; My cell data was faster on my phone. Overall.. I didn't want to leave!!! I WILL be back though - very soon!

Room Tip: on Blood-Pond in Lancaster --- very suitable for kids; kayaks and paddleboats available. Nice beac...

What a beautiful campground! Decided to come here on a whim and we're pleasantly surprised. Sites were clean and thoughtfully planned out in this campground. Restrooms were clean and all staff we encountered were pleasant, friendly and accommodating. Heated pool with water slide and a lake (pond really) with a sandy beach for swimming, fishing off the docks, and canoeing or kayaking. They also offer a yurt, tipi, and lovely cabins as well. Will be making reservations for a return visit!

I spent one night in the tipi with my young girls. The new pool is awesome!!! They swam for hours! The campground is exceptionally clean, and the bathrooms are spotless! We loved the little camp store and the view of the lake from the tipi. Lancaster is an easy drive with spots to eat and Family Dollar if you forget anything.

My wife and I came to Mountain Lake Campground for two nights of tent camping, on our way north to Canada. We got there in a downpour and our weather apps, which had been predicting partly sunny days ahead, now called for thunderstorms through the next three days. Our little tent wasn't going to make a comfortable shelter for the heavy storms, so we took advantage of the Camp's accommodations. They have little frontier log cabins but, since we were looking forward to sleeping in our tent, we chose to stay in the yurt. The yurt is round, sizable for a tented shelter, with two screened windows with zipping flaps, and a locking, wood, front door. Inside are a queen size bed and a bunk bed. We could see the lake, through the trees, from the firepit and BBQ area. There's a clear skylight on top, which provided dramatic views of the swaying treetops and lightning through the storms.

The campground isn't huge but it wasn't crowded, when we were there. Storms don't last forever and we had plenty of time to take advantage of the many activities in the sunshine. We swam in the pond, sunned on the little beach, read in the shade, jumped for frisbees off the dock. There's a clean, new pool, with two amazing waterslides. These were new, too, and I couldn't get enough of them. So fun! There's an arcade/activity center, jumbo chess and checkers, canoe rentals, too many activities for us to do them all, with the limited time we had. The playground is nice, too. The families seemed to enjoy the pirate ship and slides.

The bathroom was the cleanest out of any campground I have ever visited.

We were having fun, so we even extended our stay by a night. But the yurt was booked, so we moved over to the Ti Pi (Tee Pee). Staying in the tee pee was such a fun experience. It's got four single beds, a flap for the door, great ventilation, and a beautiful setting on a green lawn that slopes down to the lake. The clouds burst again but the tee pee kept us dry. There aren't any windows but the 'skin' lets light through. The only downsides were the mosquitoes, at night, and we had to be careful stepping around the bolts pegging the tee pee's ropes to the platform.

The store had everything we needed, in a pinch, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The other campers were friendly but people generally kept to themselves and gave us our privacy. We'd go back.

This was the first time my family and I have ever heard about this place, or stayed here. I have to say I was very impressed and enjoyed it!! Sitting on the porch of the cabin in the evenings, watching the sunset over the lake was spectacular. The cabin was clean as were the bathrooms. It was quiet at night with no trouble from other campers or loud noise. And the staff was wonderful! They offered a tab and gave great recommendations for things to do around the area!!

I would come back again, and truly enjoyed my time here.

Room Tip: Pick a cabin overlooking the lake!!

We have stayed her quite a few times and the last left a very bad feeling. The sites are not very private but we scoped out a few that are manageable. However, they had a rather large group of people staying on only a few sites. It was like being in a third world country. They had rope tied to trees with blankets draped over, for makeshift tents. All of them were in the pool with pants on. The final straw was when I went into the ladies room one night and all of the women were bathing in the sinks (feet and private areas) I understand campgrounds cannot babysit people, however these people infested the place and ruined it. I will never go back...EVER,

Thank you Gets_around_1 for your review. You stated you have been at our campground a few times. Therefore, you know how strict we are with our guidelines and wish you would have come to the office to make us aware of any concerns you may have had. We do not like anyone to have a bad experience while staying with us and we would have addressed any of your concerns immediate. We strive to make every visit for every customer a wonderful one. Regarding our guidelines, we allow only four adults and their children on one site. We do not discriminate and welcome any individuals that would like to spend some quality time with their families. We, the owners, personally drive around the campground during the day and night. One of the owners is always in the office/store to be available for customers questions or assisting staff. Makeshift tents are not allowed. Jeans or cut offs have never been allowed in our pool area. Our pool area has an attendant there every day during pool hours. Our restrooms have a 10 star rating with free showers for those that would like to bath.
