This is a great waterpark. Wave pool is awesome, as well as the lazy river. Tube slides are tons of fun. If you are daring, try the Bonzai ride.

“Fun, but busy!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2013

We've been to several waterparks this summer, and Whales Tale was the busiest of all of them. We got half price tickets from Alpine Adventures. If we had paid full price per person, I would have felt gipped. The lines were all very long. The staff all looked bored. We spent a lot of time in the lazy river, and kids just kept running by us and hitting our tubes- not very relaxing. I don't think I would return.

Thanks for the post and I'm glad to hear you had fun. There is few things better than the sound of laughter and watching kids play. This is one of many reasons why guests time after time tell us that the Whale's Tale is there favorite waterpark. Our location keeps the crowds much much smaller than our competitors located closer to the city. As a result families are comfortable letting the kids explore on their own. On the other side of the coin, we are big enough that most guests stay entertained for the entire day. Like we tell all our our customers, the days with the best weather will always attract the biggest crowd. If you're looking for a more relaxing waterpark experience, here or at any waterpark in North America, we always recommend visiting on a day that doesn't provide the best weather forecast of the week. Otherwise, prepare for a busy day. Again we're thanks for visiting both our companies and we hope this information provides a little more insight for planning your next visit.

“non-stop fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2013

The place is action from start to finish! Yes the water is chilly, always, but it's northern New Hampshire so I got over it! The kids never complained once, It's the adults that do, and that's because the kids keep dragging you back into the chilly water! There are a few hot tubs and a heated pool so just plan to use them here and there. If it's sunny out, no problem. The rides are great and the wave pool is fun. Free tubes whenever you want them and if you get there right around opening you can find a nice group of chairs, they're everywhere, and settle in for the day. I usually set up near wave pool. The lines can be long but that's true everywhere. Once you go here kids will want to come back, over and over!!

“FUN FUN FUN”

Great water park for all ages!!! Lots of spots to set up base for the family and so many different types of water slides for all levels of daring. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you are in the area, and you can also pack lunch and take in coolers to make a day of it. There was a family birthday party going on while we were there too.

“Nice place but cold water”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2013

We had a good time at the park, but I was a bit surprised at how cold the water was in mid August. I would hate to see it in early June! The "heated" kids pool and hot tubs were packed because they were the only place you could sit in warm water.

For the price, I feel like a little warm water would have been appropriate.

I'm happy to hear you had a great visit to the park. We hope you and others appreciate the fact that we are an outdoor facility and are at the mercy of the weather. This is why we added Castaway Cove - heated pool and hot tubs, to keep our guests more comfortable on the cooler days and at the end of the season as the rest of the pools begin to cool. We also have added solar heat to Eye of the Storm as the the pool is shaded and therefore cooler than the other attractions. We made this change too to keep our valued guests more comfortable. "Cold" is certainly relative and potentially misleading. The coldest our outdoor pools have been all summer is 70 degrees and they have been as warm as 81 degrees. Today the average water temperature is 75 degrees. We are an outdoor attraction with world class rides and we certainly don't want readers to think because of this post that it's not worth the visit.
