We took an ATV trip through DirtAdventures (via Woodward's Resort) on 6Jun12 and had an awesome time! Our tour was booked through Woodward's for 10 and we were asked to be there 15 minutes early (we were). There was some miscommunication, as the tour operators arrived at 10 for what they were told was a 1030 tour. No big deal. When we pulled into park, it looked like someone's house and we thought we were at the wrong spot. Nope! The staff was friendly and helpful and had CLEAN helmets/gloves for us to wear. Word of warning: you will get dirty! Wear appropriate clothing- if you bring a change of clothing, you'll have to change in your car as there was only a port-a-potty available.
Now to the good stuff- our tour operator (Tim) was excellent! He showed us proper function of the machines and we did a lot of practicing on the dirt sandpits and up and down the hills to practice braking and dealing with some mud. We had signed up for the 1.5 hour tour and it was great- we stopped a few times throughout the tour to take pictures and chat. He thought we were doing well for beginners and took us down a challenging very muddy path (awesome, but a good challenge!).
Tim told us that the land we were on was being leased by their company and that he had hand cut all the trees on the paths (they were definitely rough, no smooth easy paths here!). I imagine by the end of the season the little stumps and things will be smoothed away but we truly enjoyed the challenge of navigating the trails.
Overall, a great tour. We weren't sure when we got there, but it turned out awesome! We would definitely recommend this company and would book again next time we're up here. If you are looking for a slow boring trail ride, this is not for you!
