Our family of four stayed at the Kancamagus Motor Lodge for two nights over Memorial Day weekend. We were greeted by friendly staff and a spotless room. I loved sleeping with the windows opens breathing in the mountain air. The kids loved the indoor pool that we had all to ourselves and we enjoyed the sports bar adjacent to the pool. We ate breakfast at Brittany's cafe and were treated to large portions of pretty good food. On the negative side, the rooms were a bit small but there were bigger rooms available at a higher rate. Also, the pool was a bit cool for me but the kids didn't seem to mind. We are told that kids eat free but we were charged full price at breakfast and at the sports bar when we ate dinner. Overall I would recommend this motel to those visiting the White Mountains, it was clean and very conveniently located to Franconia Notch State Park and Clark's Trading Post. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed in the value!

We are glad, you enjoyed your stay with us. We are writing in response to your concerns regarding the Kids STAY & Eat Free Program here at The Kancamagus Motor Lodge. Children 12 & under staying with us do eat free in either of our restaurants Brittany's or CJ's, one child per adult entree purchased. As the restaurant is open to the public, our house guests do need to let their server know that they are staying with us and show their room key in order for the children's meals to be deducted. We are sorry their was confusion when you dined with us. We invite you to send us your receipts for the meals and we would be happy to credit you back the cost of the children's entrees. Thank you for choosing to stay and dine with us we look forward to hosting your family again. Sincerely, Leo & Nicole Marien

Didn't expect too much for a low-priced motel, but I was very pleasantly surprised; you could eat off the floors here (even in the bathroom)! Also liked the cross ventilation because there's windows on both front & back of room. Loved the balcony overlooking the mountains. Attached bar & restaurant was really convenient, although I did not order food (all the diners looked happy). TV worked fine. Bath had lots of hot water. In-room fridge really came in handy too!

We first stayed at the Kancamagus Motor Lodge this past Xmas for the Christmas Tree Weekend! It was the greatest weekend and it will be a tradition for our family for a long time to come. Now we are planning a summer getaway to this lodge because we want to experience it again! Leo and Nicole are so nice and very accomadating! You won't regret it!

Nicole & Leo have become part of our holiday tradition when we head north for a Christmas weekend. The first year (4 years ago), they welcomed us after we had a horrible experience with another local hotel. They were more than accomodating with the group of friends that go by keeping are rooms near if not next to each other & accomodating such a large dinner party. And make room for all the new friends we introduce to this wonderful time. Every year they greet us as long lost friends. They are one of the highlights and reasons we continue with the tradition of the Christmas Tree weekend. We are already looking forward to next year.

Cheap is rarely the best but the Kancamagus Motor Lodge is the exception to the rule.
This was our cheapest stop-over during some extensive travelling around New England and we were a little concerned about the quality we would find here in view of the price. We really needn't have worried as it far exceeded our expectations. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean and had every convenience we could possibly need. The staff were friendly and helpful and although breakfast was not included in our initial cost it is available in the Lodge's restaurant at a reasonable price. We would certainly recommend this location and only wish we could have stayed longer
