“Nice campground”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Campground in a very nice location in the middle of the woods.
The staff is extremely nice. Restrooms and showers and not 100% up to date but very clean and easy to use. Nice pool for the kids and the WIFI was working very well.

I stayed at Crazy Horse with my husband and our 4 kids. We rented one of the campers that they have available and enjoyed ourselves. We thought the fact that it's pretty much everything you need to be comfortable for $100 a night is a steal. With 4 kids it's not cheap or easy to stay in a hotel. We would need two rooms to fit all of us, so a camper that sleeps 8 was perfect. That being said the rec room needs some updates. The "library" is pretty outdated. And the fact that there's only one set of bathrooms in the whole place is inconvenient. Staying in the camper with running water and functioning shower and toilet it didn't matter to us but if we were tenting and had to walk from the other side of the campground I'd me mad. Joe and Barb could for sure use some customer service lessons because they are pretty curt. It's my thought that you've gotta know how to take them. My daughter is pretty shy and asked me to go to the office with her to get something. We walked in and I said to Barb that my daughter would like whatever it was. Barbs response was snide and she said "well does your daughter know how to talk?" Snide is not needed in the campground biz. Overall we had a good time and will go back again.

From the time we showed up for our week-long stay to the time we left, we couldn't have asked for more friendly, clean, and enjoyable facilities. The bathrooms were meticulously clean, Barb & Joe are very friendly and knowledgeable (and we had LOTS of questions, being new to some of the aspects of trailer camping with a full hookup), as well as everyone else we met throughout the week. Some of their staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome; it was like joining a community (and not in a 'Stepford' kind of way). Lots of sites on the grounds; 3 miles of road, I believe. Most are wooded, which we liked. Since we camped off-season, this review is based on our stay, but you can tell that the effort to keep things neat and orderly would extend to the high season as well. Many seasonal sites, and to us that means that people really enjoy coming here and keep an eye out for each other. Follow the rules and you'll be fine, they have them there to ensure everyone has a good time and receives the respect that other campers and your neighbors deserve. Thanks for an enjoyable stay, and we'll be back again sometime!

It was nice and quiet with no rowdy parties. The owners were very friendly. It was perfect for our mini vacation. We would definitely take our granddaughter back, she would have had a great time in the playground.

We go here just about yearly. It is not far from our home but far enough to give us the much needed break from life for a while. Joe and Barb are great. They have been helpful when we have had camper issues. They are very accommodating. We return every year for our little vacations we have. We just love it there.

My wife and I have had a seasonal site for the last 3 years. Barb and Joe are the nicest people we have met. Very helpful. Campground facilities are very clean and well maintained. Problems are handled very quickly. If your looking for an actual campground with woods and not the fake ones in fields, this is the place. Ignore the bad reviews and come on over.

My family loves this camp groud. There are tons of things to do around the area, polar caves, lost river, and Clark's trading post, to name a few. Barb and Joe are fun to talk and are always trying to make the campground better. There group sites are nice and big however not cheap. Joe rides around at night, to make sure everythings ok and you don't need anything. It take me about 6 to 7 hours to get there however more then worth it.
