“Generous portions in a small, intimate cafe”
Reviewed 27 March 2013 via mobile

We enjoyed our meal here at the Ignite Bar & Grille. Fresh salad, wonderful nachos, and cheesy, creamy Mac and cheese filled us up to the brim. We would have asked for a "doggie bag" if we hadn't been traveling on the next day. Service was friendly, knowledgable, and prompt. Good wines and beers. Only one complaint...it was very noisy. Probably due to their small size. I had to shout to be heard! I would like to go back for lunch sometime and see if it is quieter. I will return since the food is outstanding.

“Worth a return visit”
Reviewed 25 March 2013

This restaurant has a limited number of tables for guests to sit and enjoy a meal. We were greeted by friendly waitstaff upon entering the restaurant. It is a quaint place that is tastefully decorated. The food selection offers something for everyone. Our meals were all delicious and served in a reasonable amount of time. The one downside was cold air drifting into the seating area every time someone entered or exited the restaurant on a chilly March evening. Patrons at the bar should keep their coats on for that reason. Ignite is located on a one-way street with on street parking only near the Palace theater downtown. It is well worth checking out.

“Very good lunch salads.”
Reviewed 26 February 2013 via mobile

Went here or lunch. We both had lunch salads. Tuna salad was great. Chopped salad with salmon was good. Very nice atmosphere with big bar area. This place must hop at night. Service from Vanessa was very good.

Went here for a birthday dinner. We sat at the bar. Tried several appetizers, all good. Drinks were wonderful. Great menu. Definitely will go back.

“Ignite your appetite!”
Reviewed 23 February 2013

My friend and I decided to try out Ignite for dinner- we arrived on the early side- as we entered we were greeted and seated immediately! (They do not accept reservations-so get there on the early side because it does get packed!) Our waitress was really friendly and efficient. We decided to try several appetizers including the artichoke/shrimp/crab dip with chips, the Milltown mussels with sliced baguettes and a greek salad. All of the portions were large and filling. The food was served in a timely manner as were the drinks. The food was amazing! Extremely flavorful and fresh tasting. The venue itself is on the smaller side and can get loud as more people come in, but it was an upbeat atmosphere. Our table had fresh roses which added to the ambiance. We ate in the dining room side of the restaurant (the other side is a bar and open kitchen). The prices of the menu varied depending on what you wanted- a little pricier than other restaurants, but the quality and taste of the food make up for it! There is street parking or you can park in the public lot which is extremely cheap. We would definitely return! The owners of this restaurant also own Hooked (next door to Ignite) and Rouched. I don't know much about those, but if they are at all like Ignite, we will definitely try them out!
