Is this what homemade really tastes like. Mouth watering carrots and chicken goulash oh my. It was quick but incredible rich in flavour. The service was excellent and the prices were low in comparison to other restaurants in the area. Great for a quick lunch when taking a break from the convention centre or even a great supper idea. We loved the food so much, we came back for a second round the next day. The pastries are to die for! If you stuff yourself to death with the generous portion meal, get a pastry to take home with you. You will love it.

Great for breakfast! Pastries are fantastic! Soups are wonderful! Lunch and dinner entrees can be variable, but that doesn't stop me from coming back every time I'm in Manchester!

I stumbled upon this place in downtown Manchester and was so glad I did because it is such a great find. They have a Hungarian/Romanian menu with Goulash, Schnitzel and other old-world authentic entrees. I first had the meatball soup which I believe was made from scratch while I waited. Then, as an entree I had the chicken schnitzel. My friends had the Chicken Goulash and Viennese Schnitzel. All of it was delicious and original. The owner is a young couple from Romania with older roots to Hungary and they prepare their grandparent's recipes. They also have an awesome assortment of fresh pastries available for dine in or take out. This is a wonderful place to go for savory comfort food. I highly recommend that you try this place. The menu is very reasonably priced and this is a nice little hidden treasure on Manchester's main drag (Elm St). The food is very special and you'll find it welcome surprise.

Authentic Hungarian food and pastry are here for your pleasure! Everything from cold cherry soup to Weiner Schnitzel to goulash, its all here. Snuggled downtown between a store and an alley, it takes some looking to find, but its worth the effort. Their cooking is excellent and their pastries are not only art to look at but an experience to enjoy.

Also, being a small space, the atmosphere is cozy. The decor is a little sparse with some Hungarian ethnic things hung on the wall, but one of the tables outside in the spring or summer or next to the window is best. Nothing like sipping on a large (euro style) cup of cappucino (real), eating a pastry and people watching through the window.

Highly recommend for lunch or early dinner -- watch their hours, they do cater more to the downtown weekly daytime crowd.

Had the stuffed cabbage and it was excellent. Every bite as good as the previous and a nice size lunch portion. Wish we lived here so I could try other dishes! The place is small, casual and the owner was very helpful and friendly.
