Only stayed for a night and the lodge has some positives and some negatives. Checkin is at the Lazy E motel - something I did not know and was told by another guest when I arrived. Not wanting to drive back - I had driven most of the day, I used the phone on the wall and contacted the motel, keys and forms requiring my signature were delivered to me on site. I booked through a 3rd party provider, so understand that the information would not be available as it is available on their main website. Ok, checkin completed, the room on the whole sets you up for a nights stay - hot shower, fridge, microwave, wifi, plates, cutlery and a hairdryer. However, the heating vent in the bathroom was rusted, so not a great look, and I had to pop down to the Lazy E to pick up new sheets as I suspected that linen had not been changed since the last occupant - defiantly not the pillows. I had to contact the same gentlemen via the phone on the wall at this property to request the new linen. Arrived within 5 minutes of the phone call - this property looked closed for the season, and was very apologetic. Security wise, would not recommend it for a solo female traveller like myself. I am a seasoned and accomplished traveler, but even I slept light knowing that there was only a push button lock between me and the outside world and the location is pretty isolated even though being on a main road - not a lot noise from traffic by the way.
