I took my dog with me for a weekend getaway. I was happy to find a place that outfitted the room with a dog bed, food bowls, and some treats upon arrival. The pet-friendly room is on the ground floor, which is convienent for the pets but a little less desirable for people since it feels like the basement (the inn is built into the hillside). It's also a little less desirable because it's right next to the hotel's laundry, and there is a lot of noise during day hours. The room amenities were basic but comfortable.
I met the general manager at the evening activities (marshmallow roasting) and she was very kind. My biggest regret is that I didn't stay at Church Landing. I went over there anyway when I could to enjoy the many lounges and the ambience. I also scheduled a treatment at the Spa at Church Landing. Because of the renovations, the Spa rooms were created from normal guest rooms, and I got to see the interior of the rooms. The Inn, which is across the street from the lake, feels sparse by comparison. If you have the money to spend, I recommend the upgrade to Church Landing.
PS - The coffee machine makes excellent coffee 24-7 free of charge. Both Church Landing and the Inn have one.More
