On our way up from CT, we were trying to figure out if it was 19 or 20 years since we made our first trip to Mill Falls. Time has slipped by, and there was only one inn, and the flowers that greeted us as we drove through Meredith called to us. EVERY YEAR. On our recent visit, we stayed at the boat house. Hard to believe you can be wowed every time, but we were.

Thank you for always leaving us wanting more.

Stayed at Church Landing for two nights and everything was just amazing. It was nice going during the slow season as there was hardly anyone at the hotel and I was able to enjoy the peace and quiet. Although would love to go back during the spring/summer to enjoy the fantastic views. The room was very spacious.... had a fireplace and a very comfortable bed. The staff at the resort was fantastic. The front desk agents were very welcoming and friendly. Had all my meals at the Lakehouse Grill and thought the prices were very reasonable and food was exquisite. The seafood was very fresh and everything was made to order. The hotel had complimentary coffee/tea, fruit, yogurt in the morning which was a nice touch.

Room Tip: 355 is a nice corner room

In a word...fantastic. A few couples stayed here last weekend and what a wonderful winter getaway. Cozy and inviting with a roaring fire in the lobby and gas fireplaces in every room. We had the treehouse room which was huge and plenty of space to relax with friends. The basic rooms were anything but! All rooms here overlook the lake and the swimming pool allows you to swim in and out of the building. The Lakehouse Grille on the premises was wonderful and comfortable with another roaring fireplace. Nothing on the property disappoints.

Room Tip: You can't get a bad room here....all rooms face the lake.

We stayed at the Birch Tree Lodge in a beautiful room with a balcony, gas fireplace and book nook... everything was made with birch tree accents, including the bed and the ceiling. The room was extremely clean, the shower and hot tub (in a spacious bathroom) were sparkling clean. The resort is such a great area for browsing in shops and relaxing any time of year. I loved the 18 and over indoor /outdoor pool and hot tub to relax in as well. We were treated so well by the staff including the waiters and bartenders. In a side note, I had realized after I had gotten home we were missing the T-shirt I had purchased in the gift shop... the staff did not find it in the room and they checked the gift shop to find they no longer had any like it left in stock. The woman we had spoken to called back the following day to tell us she had ordered me a new one and would send it to our home address! Such service- above and beyond! Although the ground was covered in snow and the lake was frozen solid, the view from our room was amazing and the room itself was very cozy. My boyfriend proposed in the gazebo on the frozen lake (he had researched the resort prior and planned the whole trip as a surprise). It was a perfect spot for such a memory. All in all Mill Falls is a wonderful place which I look forward to returning to!

This is our absolute favorite place to stay and have stayed here often. We travel quite a bit and would love it if we could clone Church Landing! On this last trip we did not intend to stay overnight. We were taking a day trip and had decided to eat dinner in Meredith before heading back to RI. But, once we arrived at Church Landing we couldn't resist asking about availability, not hopeful there would be any, especially for just one night. Not only did they have a room available for my husband, college-aged son, and me, but when they heard we were traveling without luggage, they provided toothbrushes, toothpaste and razors without us even asking. It was so nice to be able to enjoy a leisurely dinner at the Lakehouse Grille without worrying about our 3-hour ride home!

Room Tip: When we make reservations we ask for the 3rd or 4th floor. The first floor is where the pool is loca...

Located on Lake Winnipesaukee and in walking distance to restaurants and shopping at Mills Falls. We went for Valentines Day weekend and stayed in a room with lake views, a gas fireplace, comfortable king size bed, balcony and fairly spacious bathroom. We enjoyed the boathouse building next door to our room, which houses an indoor jacuzzi and outdoor heated pool as well as a regulation size pool table and large gas fireplace. The staff was friendly and helpful, the accommodations comfortable, and the location convenient.

We didn't experience the breakfast that others rave about, but did eat in the restaurant where we felt the food didn't measure up to the service and charm of the establishment. That said, we live where there are many excellent restaurants - so take it for what it's worth.

I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: The boathouse and rooms attached to the main building via a covered walkway are quietest.

Year after year we choose to do a small getaway weekend here in Meredith. This year we chose to stay on the newer side, the boathouse lodge at church's landing. I will compare the differences between my previous stays. Overall the rooms are pretty similar. They are really nice and warm feeling. They have gas fireplaces, large oversized bed, beautiful views of the lake. The major difference is the bathrooms. The bathrooms at the boathouse lodge are HUGE! 2 person tubs, separate shower, tv, separate toilet. The boathouse lodge is not connected to church's landing via an internal hallway. There is a covered walkway that you need to take. It didn't bother us, and it is maybe a 25 foot walkway. The boathouse lodge has an adults only pool and hot tubs that are very nice. I think if you are traveling with kids, and you don't need a huge bathroom, church's landing will be just fine. If you are going as a couple, the boathouse is a little more quiet, and my choice.
