We were referred here by our B&B owner, and also provided with a coupon for 50% off one entree. We had good service, but we also got there fairly early in the evening. They did get busier after we sat down, with a couple of larger tables. They provide a complimentary bean dip and crackers as an appetizer, which they seem to feature, although, honestly, we didn't think the dip was anything special. They also provide bread/butter to the table, which was good. I ordered the french onion soup, which I would HIGHLY recommend. They had a chicken root beer special the night we were there which was good, and we also got the pork dijon, which was very good. The sides of rice pilaf and zucchini/yellow squash medley were also tasty. We each had a cocktail, and neither of us had dessert (we didn't need it - the meal was plenty filling!). The total for our meal for two, after the 50% discount for one entree, was $50 including tax, but before gratuity. We thought the service was good, but our server wasn't terribly busy.
The restaurant is in a historic building (dating back to 1825), which makes it more interesting, and there are several small dining rooms, which I think makes it more quiet, too.
We would go here again, if we are in Meredith, in the future.

Went there off season late at 8PM, Mexican chicken with rice was great so was the pasta. Initially looked at the menu of sandwich, pizza etc we worried but the waitress was very accommodating, attentive and suggested the special of the day. Dinning experience was great with good food and non-intrusive yet responsive service.

We were inn guests and had received a bogo coupon for Mame's. Went into restaurant and were sat promptly in the front of the place as requested. Young male server was just there, barely. He took our food to the next table over and mentioned that his mind just wasn't there. No kidding?
I will add that none of the staff there were friendly or happy to see us come in for dinner. Why the Mill Landing Inn group would make this part of their preferred places is beyond me. Food was just average and overpriced. When we got the bill server had the other tables drinks on our tab.
Maybe he had just taken a weed break? Go some where else. The restaurant, Camp had service and food the night before far superior than lackluster Mame's. This place fell way below my expectations on service and food quality.

We were visiting the area and went here because it was open at 9 on a Saturday night. Upon arrival we waited at the hostess station for 5-10 minutes before stalking down a waitress to see if we could be seated. We received mixed remarks about whether or not the kitchen was still open downstairs and decided to eat upstairs at the bar where the kitchen was open, plenty of drink selections and the live music was nice, we shared a burger that was ok but the appetizers we ordered were lacking. It was average, but if we visit the area again I probably won't go back.

30 years in business and located in a 188 year old building and, like good wine, both are improving with age. As well, the owner/manager is most welcoming and engaging. For all of these reasons, I highly recommend putting this establishment on your "bucket list".
