My husband and I spent the weekend in North Conway. The White Mountain Hotel and Resort's restaurant was recommended to us. The hotel itself was magnificent both inside and out. What breathtaking views from the restaurant of the hotel of the mountains.
We didn't have the pleasure of staying there but had dinner in their restaurant.

We have always saved the best for last and this time was no exception - this hotel/restaurant used to have a seafood buffet every Friday night but they have now changed it to a seafood 4 course meal for $35.00/person which, for the amount of wonderful food you get, is a very good deal. We started off with a mini-raw bar which included scallops, oysters, clams, etc., which were delicious; went from that into either a soup or salad (I had the seafood salad which was scrumptious) and then we all had the seafood medley which included lobster, scallops and shrimp in either an alfredo, scampi or champagne sauce (the last selection was 'over the top') and we ended our meal with dessert (of their choosing) and coffee......Our friends who had joined us were so impressed with this place they've already said they're coming back with us the next time just to try this place again) so I would have to say this gets the 'seal of approval' from all of us!!!

We stayed here for 4 nights whilst celebrating my husband's 40th birthday. It was a really charming place - not too big & had a nice family run feel about it.
The wait for breakfast could get a little chaotic as you had to queue up to get seated at a table & this was typically quite a long queue of 10 mins or so wait. However, this is the only real thing I can find to say was not great.
The rooms are spacious enough & kept immaculately clean, the staff are friendly (especially the bar staff), the pool area is clean & well looked after & the view is simply stunning.
You do need a car to get to town, but that wasn't an issue for us. The location is really close to Diana's Baths & Echo Lake which were great spots to spend the day cooling off from the heat.

So pleased to read that you enjoyed your staff, and sorry that there was a bit of a wait for breakfast. During the busy fall time period when the Hotel is full to capacity, it sometimes does get a bit
hectic. We will do everything in our power to avoid this from happening in the future. Regards, Carol

We stayed at this charming hotel for a week. The hotel is situated in a beautiful location, we felt removed from the hustle and bustle of the town (which is a good thing!). We upgraded our room for a mountain view but after reading reviews, we think we got the cliff view. We got a stunning view of the parking lot... The rooms were a little outdated and on the small side but still charming. Can't really complain since we went in the off season and got a deal on the price.

We agree with many of the previous reviews regarding the excellent location of this hotel. We do feel that the rooms are nothing special and not worthy of the price per night. A continental breakfast in lieu of a full breakfast makes this hotel even less worthy of the per night charge.

We have been celebrating our wedding anniversary for the past 10 years at the White Mountain Hotel because we love it! Doing a weekend pkg affords us the luxury of staying at this well-known hotel, celebrate our anniversary and do our Christmas shopping all in one weekend. North Conway is well known for its outlet stores and we take full advantage of that. Our package allows us breakfast, dinner on Saturday night and brunch Sunday morning. Not to mention the heated outdoor pool and hot tub which is something we both look forward to after a day of shopping. This is one weekend we look forward to all year!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the White Mountain range are excellent!

We did not stay at this property but it was suggested by the Hotel we were staying at for our Anniversary Dinner. When we arrived we were unsure of what we would find from the outside of the building nothing stands out about the building. The gardens are nice and the location it is not on the strip but from the parking lot a very plain building. The Lobby was nice when we entered t and found the restaurant with ease . The Hostess checked us in and we asked for a window not knowing about the view until we saw it (very beautiful). It took a few minutes but we were able to have a window seat. Our server was Sue from the start when she was welcoming she gave us the evening specials first so that we would be able to best decide on the wine we wanted no pressure to order . The wine recommended went perfect with our dinner Which was delicious she did make a few adjustments for us ( I am Gluten free no problem at all )
I spilled some Red wine on my new white shirt and she came over with white wine and vodka and removed the stain for me ! By the end of the meal we felt so relaxed even though it was a busy night in the Hotel. Our Anniversary Dinner Could not have been More Special . We will be back next year to Stay and Dine for our Anniversary
