Even though my husband and I have been travelling to North Conway since 1990,this was the first time we stayed in The Cabernet Inn. We just wanted a quick getaway, and chose The Cabernet Inn based on value, and excellent Tripadvisor reviews. We chose the Standard Room, which was clean and comfortable, though small. Bruce checked us in promptly, showed us around the inn, and told us the specifics. Both my husband and I were surprised that the room didn't have a TV, although it did have an excellent wifi connection in all of the rooms. The room we were in was chilly, and didn't have a thermostat, although there were plenty of warm blankets on the bed.
It is clear that both both Bruce and his wife Jessica love the inn, and helping their guests. The inn is cozy and well appointed, with two common rooms on different levels. The breakfast met and surpassed our expectations. Bruce takes the orders and Jessica prepares the dishes. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. My husband and I wanted to explore the paths behind the hotel, and Bruce gave us a wonderful guide to the cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails. Once on the trails, you would never know that you were so close to busy Rte. 16. We would definitely stay here again.

We spent only one night at this B&B, but we would have loved to stay more if we had the chance. Everything is taken care of in the slightest detail. The atmosphere is very cozy and romantic. Coffe and tea are available during the afternoon, together with cakes and guests are invited to spend time in the gathering room downstairs or in the living room at the ground floor. Bedrooms are very clean and comfortable and they serve a delicious and varied breakfast in the morning.

We had a warm and informative welcome from Bruce and were delighted to find we had been upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi and gas fire, both of which added to the enjoyment of our stay.
The downstairs 'gathering room' is a great idea and we enjoyed chatting to other guests, some of whom had stayed at The Cabernet Inn before.
There was plenty of choice at breakfast, all deliciously cooked and presented by Jessica.
Bruce was also very helpful with ideas for how to spend our two days in this area. We visited some of the sights he told us about which we might otherwise have missed and were grateful for his trips as the scenery certainly is superb.
We had dinner on both nights at The 1785 Inn which is just next door. The food was really good. As the reviews say, watching and listening as the staff prepare a Caesar Salad is an entertainment in itself!

Staying at the Cabernet Inn was a very pleasurable experience. The Inn keepers are extremely helpful and friendly. In particular, their advice about where to visit in the area was invaluable. The breakfasts are high quality with a good choice of menu options. Our room was clean and comfortable and the inn was well maintained and tastefully decorated throughout. The only suggestion we would have that could have improved our stay would be to introduce a two sitting system for breakfast. Overall an excellent Inn.

This is a very small intimate Inn. We have spend there 3 nights and enjoyed every moment.
The area of the Inn is great, with lots of interests around.
The Inn was excellent. The house is old and has antique scent with lots of character.
Our room was on the first floor and was very nice, clean and comfortable.
The owners - Jessica & Bruce were the perfect hosts. They help in information and any thing we thought about.
Jessica is a wonderful chef - she serves creative testy breakfast and testy cookies in the after-noon.
Highly recommended Inn!!!

The innkeepers were very nice.
The breakfast was excellent.
This was exceptional value. We paid about $100 more for each of our prior nights (in Williamstown and in Woodstock, VT), and those didn't include bkfst

First of all, Bruce and Jessica were fantastic hosts. Bruce gave us the full tour, even though we were only staying one night, and then we got to meet Jessica and the friendly Cleo, their black lab. The house is very cozy inside. We felt comfortable when we just wanted to hang out in the downstairs living room for a bit and rest our minds with a bit of tv. The bedroom was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The shower had a curved showr curtain (which is a little upgrade detail I always love for some reason) and the water wasnice and hot. The only drawback to the room was that it faced the main road, and the inn itself is close to the road, so traffic noise was pretty consistent. But there was a noisemachine we put on some frogs and nightsounds and slept fine. We also had a gas fireplace, which was so nice to have in the room and we did put it on for awhile. Bruce and jessica really make an effort to be as "green" as possible, which i appreciated.

And that brings us to breakfast... AWESOME! The coffee was out early, which was good for an early riser like myself. Then for breakfast, Bruce takes orders from a menu and they had an omelette special as well. This is quite a luxury for a B&B! Many times, they do not have a choice, or its limited. I tried the omlette special and my husband had the french toast. Jessica is fluid and expert floating around the kitchen while we enjoyed coffee and juice. The meals were FANTASTIC.

Unfortunately, we only stayed one night, but Bruce printed out a number of helpful things for our journey and they both had great insights on the area. They had a lot of pride in the Inn and of this beautiful area, and it shows.

I would definitely return.
