“Perfect NH getaway!”
Reviewed 4 June 2010

My husband and I took a trip to North Conway with friends for several nights and just by pure luck, made a reservation at what I believe to be one of the nicest hotels in the area, especially for the price! We have stayed at a few other places in town in the past. The decor and feel of the hotel was amazing, from the moment you walked in the door you feel relaxed. It is a new hotel, but feels so warm and cozy, which you often do not get from newer hotels which often have an overly modern and cold feel. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly and always willing to help. The hotel has a happy hour or guest social, at least they did when we were there. We spent one evening enjoying burgers that were grilled outside on the hotel grill and cocktails for free! I have to say that being able to spend one evening hanging out in the hotel for a low key BBQ was a treat, and something that made a great impression on my friends and I. Not to mention that the hotel's Manager was running the social, making sure we were enjoying our food and filling our drinks. It isn't too often that you see hotel management doing jobs like this, this is a man that obviously takes pride in his business and appreciates his guests. We even enjoyed a nice conversation with him and a front desk associate while enjoying our dinner. A personable hotel staff really goes a long way in my book!

The rooms themselves were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We even enjoyed the pool one evening which was lovely. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone heading to North Conway. We will be back for sure!

We tend to stay at Bed & Breakfast establishments or campground whenever we're in the North Conway region. However, this time we were in the area for a wedding and selected the North Conway Residence Inn because the bride had such good things to say about it. Was she ever right!

The Residence Inn was spotless. Absolutely spotless. We were traveling with a toddler and my mother-in-law, so we selected one of their 2-bedroom suites. The rooms were gorgeous. Very, very comfortable. Very toddler friendly.

The pool area was great. The front desk was prompted in responding to any requests or questions that we had. The hotel was located next to a breakfast place that served great blueberry pancakes. Walgreen's, CVS, and a grocery store were right down the street - as was a multitude of outlet shops. And the village of North Conway was just a few minutes drive down the road as well.

It was a very comfortable, very accomodating, VERY clean place to stay. We will absolutely return to this hotel for our next trip to North Conway!

Spent the week of April 11th - April 18th at the Residence Inn. Our studio room was very large and comfortable !! The bed was great - it was nice having the sitting area with the large screen TV - the kitchen was very handy. People at the lobby desk were very friendly and always had a nice greeting as we passed by. The breakfast was very good and the staff (Julie and Peggy) who worked in that area went out of their way to make everyone have a pleasant experience. One day they lost the wi fi internet connection - when I called to check in the lobby, they told me the internet was down, they called back soon after that and offered me a gift card to go to a nearby Starbucks to use my laptop there (I didn't have to do that - but I thought that offer was amazing !!!)
I have stayed at many hotels in the North Conway area - my experience at the Residence Inn was the best - and it will be my place of choice in the future.

A lot of the positives of this place come from it being quite new- very clean, nice sharp comfortable design. I do agree with others that the AC/ heat is noisy when it ramps up, the fan level is however very comfortable, and the windows actually open, which is a big plus for me.

All the advantages of a Residence Inn - full kitchen, nice lobby, free bfast, without the sad &/or old feel of too many RIs. Nice little outdoor patio too, and the laundry and fitness centers are to die for! Good quality wireless throughout, in addition to wired in rooms.

There are plenty of cheaper motels in the area, but if you're budget allows for a little more, or you need to have the amenities of a larger place (reliable internet, fitness center etc) this place is a nice place to call home for a few days, or longer. We got a AAA rate under $100 for weekdays in the mud season.

This property opened in September of 2009 and maintained very well. There are so many funky overpriced properties in vacation towns like North Conway that this property is a welcomed change. The rooms are spacious complete with a sitting room, flat screen TV and kitchen. Comfortable, clean and a good price point. Our check-in was dissapointing. I'm a Gold Elite member and requested in advance a 4th floor room. We arrived after 3:00 and was told our room was not ready. We waited for 30 minutes and ended up taking what was availale. They either are understaffed in housekeeping or poorly managed. Be warned that irresponsible parents are here letting there irresponsible kids run rampant through the property. When we left our elevator to go to our room, there were 3 kids playing hockey in the hallway. In the evening, we could clearly hear kids running up and down the hallway above us. The pool area was a nightmare being overcrowed and very loud. The hotel has a policy that asks its guest to be quiet from 9 PM on. A great idea but not observed or enforced. The evening social hour is lame and might as well not exist.

I went with my family, and my two sister-in-laws. we had 3 rooms. All three raved at it. The breakfast was included with the room. The price was reasonable. The hotel is within walking distance of a major shopping center and outlets. A short drive to downtown and some outstanding restaurants and ski areas.

EVERYONE was pleasant. The rooms are gorgeous with granite countertops in the kitchens and baths. Beds were very comfortable and the wide screen LCD TVs large with plenty of cable stations. Each room has a desk with free wi-fi internet.

The fitness center was medium sized, top of the line eqp, with 2 ellipticals (with built-in tvs), 2 treadmills (with built-in tvs), 1 bicycle, freeweights. The room was under-utilized so I had no problem getting on the equipment. The pool is indoor and heated along with a large jacuzzi. All new and in excellent condition.

The housekeeper gave us a tour of the rooms. Some 2 bed / 2 bath, 1 bed/bath with fireplace. We stayed in a studio with our 5 yo. It was very comfortable.

We had a perfect time and will return.

We had an overall great stay at this practically brand new Residence Inn. Having stayed in them in other cities, we knew what to expect (full kitchen, suite, etc) and were a bit skeptical knowing it was a chain Marriott property. One of the things that is so great about the White Mountain region is the variety of charming places with character to stay, but for $80 a night, we stuck with the Marriott property knowing we were on a budget and would get our points.

What we didn't expect was how modern the room was - it was really nice. I think we expected the more traditional RI furnishings. We arrived right at 3 and asked if there was a fireplace suite available. There was but it wouldn't be ready for another hour. So they took down our number and vowed to ring us when it was available - and they did. Plus upgraded us at no charge which was great. Muncy at the front desk was so nice and accommodating.

The room was spacious and we liked that the toilet/bath/shower was separate from the vanity area. Nice big flat screen TVs in living and bedrooms. First night's ammenity package that is supposed to be in every room was nice, but there was no microwave popcorn. Called to front desk and a lady said she had no idea what we were talking about (although the Guest Services book states it is included) but would make a note to make sure we had some for day #2. We had cheddar already bagged popcorn left by housekeeping the next day.

I think we were expecting a social hour (manager reception) comparable to the Embassy Suites because we have experienced better ones at RI in other cities, but it was a huge disappointment. The wine was Wal-Mart's $3 bottle which we had tried before and knew it was sorely lacking, and they had 2 kinds of beer. The appetizers were a bowl of nuts, and very small plates of cheese, crackers, tiny sweets and soup - which was probably the best part of the social hour as the soup was hot and tasty.

We ate a great roast beef sandwich at a place recommended by the staff, Belly Stuffers (just a mile or two down from the hoetl) and an even better roast beef sandwich a few days before at a place 15 miles or so south of North Conway called Kelli's Place - a lime green hole in the wall place that was fantastic! Ate at the Muddy Moose which is a cool place on the north side of town and of course our favorite breakfast spot - Peaches - also on the main street, but closer to downtown. Hands down the best breakfast around! (The banana and brown sugar pancakes were unbelievable.) Then we came back from Peaches and worked off our breakfast in the nicely equipped fitness room.

Free Hi Speed internet is always a nice touch.

We love North Conway and vacation here frequently from Texas and would recommend the Residence Inn whole heartedly.
