I had toured the Ben and Jerry's 'plant' back in the 90's and it was great! We actually got to see the process and had a chance to suggest a new flavor. The tour we got this year was a disappointment. We first viewed an informative video. We then moved to a room above the 'factory' and watched through windows as a couple of white-smocked people walked back and forth, not doing much of anything. None of the machines were running, but there was a short video describing what would happen at each station. We then got to taste the ice cream from a paper cup. That was good, and that was it! You are released into the gift shop where you can buy all sorts of B&J items. You can purchase ice cream cones and sundaes outside of the store so you don't really need to 'do the tour.'
