Eastern Inn & Suites
Ranked #12 of 21 North Conway B&B and Inns
Reviewed 9 October 2012

Eastern Inns was a great base for our active North Conway vacation. We spent most days out hiking and sight seeing. When we were back at the hotel we enjoyed the pool, arcade and billiard lounge. There were lots of staff people around working to make sure everything went well.
We booked a family suite and there was plenty of room for my family of four plus all our hiking gear. The room was quiet and we slept comfortably. In the morning it was nice that breakfast started at 7 am. I like getting up and out early and some hotel breakfasts don't serve until later.

After much searching for a hotel in North Conway that was under $180.00 and not already booked, we checked into the Eastern Inn. The property is very old and out dated, but it was clean. The staff was friendly and gave good recommendations for breakfast ( Peaches) and dinner, The bathroom was very small. I probably would not stay here again

First room we were shown had no place to hang clothes, so moved to another room. Was then told that all the rooms are time shares and sometimes owners leave personal items in the closet and so locked the closets.
The room was clean, furniture shabby, dresser had a drawer that did not open or close properly.
No hair dryer, no coffee maker, no frig. Room was small, king bed, no table and chairs. TV not centered in front of the bed but off to the side because that was "where there was a stud they could hang it from."
Breakfast, ordinary, no fruit or eggs
Did have a nice indoor pool but did not use. Receptionist that checked us in, was very uninformative about the area even though she said she lived there.
Mattress was good but heating unit/air conditioner was very noisy.
Bathroom very tiny and hot water to the shower faucet was hooked up backwards- had to turn the knob to the right rather then the left to get hot water. I would look for another place if we come back to the area.

There are two things we liked about staying at the Eastern Inns of North Conway, it's quite, and the price is among the lowest in the area. The property is also well kept and very clean with a helpful staff.

We rented a two room 'condo' unit. The rooms were small but not to small. The bathroom was a bit cramped, but came with a full sized tub/shower unit. There was a good sized mini fridge in our room that came in very useful, as well as a nice flat screen TV. Two queen beds that were not to firm and not to soft for my liking. A in wall AC unit, and a sleeper sofa.

The property has a small arcade room, a game room with billiards, foosball, a checkers/chess table and a TV and video player with a small selection of movies. Perhaps the best feature to the property is the in building, in ground swimming pool that is heated with a 6.5 foot deep end.

Overall, the place is clean, peaceful and bargain priced. For the busy North Conway area that is saying a lot.

Room Tip: In an area with rooms that are easily over $125 a night this place offers value for travelers on a b...

We stayed here one night while visiting family in New England to visit Storyland with my children and their Grandmother. Though the accomodations are extremely meager the staff was friendly and accomodating. Unfortuately, when we left I had two hanging items that I left (FOR CERTAIN)in the closet. When I called to claim and ask them to ship to me ( I would pay shipping, of course) management stated there were no missing items reported *red flag-- items stolen!!**. I don't know where the integrity line broke down but it most certainly did. Before this encounter I was ready to think the best of this place (though we live in SE Asia and usually stay in 5 star resorts--- a far cry from this establishment.) I hate dishonesty and that is what we received. I would NOT EVER recommend this establishment. Stay at your own risk. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

We (husband, I & toddler twins) stayed in a suite with a kitchenette. The room was very dated, with questionable cleanliness and thin walls. Housekeeping just emptied the trash after the first night (stayed for 2). People working at the front desk gave inaccurate directions and were not trained well with check-out procedures. We don't plan on returning.

i was totally unfamiliar with the area and used my AAA travel book for help with finding this property. reservation made via phone. pleasantly and easiy done.had single room with queen or double bed on the first floor near the steps. no elevator which i doubt would pose a problem even if room on second floor as steps are so gradual.room was very comfortable, quiet and super clean.bedding provided great sleep.hotel is back off main drag of town so no street noise at all.hotel gives feeling of an old country inn with fireplace in lobby and comfy overstuffed furniture there to relax.staff was very friendly and helpful.breakfast was bountiful and served in large dining area larger than many chain hotels provide.although i didnt use there is a very large indoor pool in a pine walled area that looked very inviting. quite a gem of a hotel for the money with manicured grounds and lawn area. would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: guests should not expect the usual room of a chain hotel but these have charm and are most comforta...
