We stayed at the Eastman Inn the first weekend of February and had a lovely time. We've stayed at several inns in North Conway, and this one tops the list. Rooms are updated. Breakfast is delicious. And the owners are truly hospitable. We stayed in room 3. While it's on the road side, we found the traffic noise so minimal that we barely noticed it and didn't understand why others had even mentioned it in their reviews. We will definitely be back.

We were fortunate to stay here over Thanksgiving 2013. Our room was comfortable and charming, the breakfasts were healthy and delicious and Art and Marta, most gracious. Definitely one of our favorites inns.

We stayed here during the peak Fall season and enjoyed it very much. The building itself and the décor and furnishings are charming and welcoming. We especially loved the quilts over the chairs on the porch. The complimentary tea, coffee and cookies is a nice touch as are the plentiful bowls of candy around the communal areas. Our room (the twin) was a touch on the small side with two large suitcases but the bathroom was great with the cast iron bath. The breakfasts were delicious and filling and the host charming and helpful.

A very nice inn offering a comfortable room and bed. The parlor and breakfast room were also inviting. A warm, welcoming place where Art and staff offers superb service. Not to be overlooked was the most delicious blueberry french toast crumble served in the morning...very tasty! We were delighted to find hot water for tea and brewed coffee w/ homemade baked snacks in the evening - Our room was located in the front of the building so you could hear the traffic, however, it didn't deter us from getting a good night's sleep. Art did offer us a room in the back while showing us the available rooms. We'll be back!

Spent two nights here on a driving holiday in New England. The owner is what makes this place; a good cook, with freshly baked cookies daily, and tea/coffee replenished up till late evening in the dining room, but also excellent local knowledge of what to do/where to go. Room comfortable; we both found the bathroom a bit awkward, and cold in the morning. Next to the road, so road noise would disturb those who don't like any. Short walk to North Conway for evening meals, although the pub opposite did a pretty good job.

We stayed in this Inn for a couple of nights in September and loved it. Well situated in North Conway - with easy walking to the centre of town, we found it a good base to explore the white mountains.
We had a cosy room on the ground floor with access to the parlor and breakfast room - where hot beveradges and snacks are served all day. The breakfasts were wonderful.
But best of all was the friendly hosting skills of Art, who was a joy to meet and to chat with.

Seems like most of the B&B and accommodations in North Conway are located along the main road, which means noise. So Eastman Inn is no exception, traffic noise until around 10 , half 10. The porch is beautiful but you will be looking at all the traffic and its noisy.

The service is standard , hot beverages all day with cookies. However, the host Arthur does make the stay very enjoyable. His sense of humour and knowledge of the town is priceless!

If you want a quiet place to stay, try somewhere in Glen or off the main road. If you just look for a place to stay, this one as good as the other!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Welcome to the Eastman Inn, a 14 room bed and breakfast located in the heart of the White Mountains. Let Arthur, Marta, or Trina welcome you to our inn with a smile, a cup of tea, a bottle of cold water and some fresh baked cookies. As you enter through our dining area you will be greeted and given a tour of the common areas. Most people love to sit on our porch above the main road heading into town. You can relax on one of our porch rockers and watch the world go by. In our parlor you will find a bookshelf of games and books for you to enjoy. Use the dining tables for that late night game of scrabble. In the winter we light the fireplace in the evenings. Each of our 14 rooms have a private bath. Our rooms are all individually decorated, some have claw foot tubs with a shower combination, others a Jacuzzi bath and others a regular stall shower. Rooms come with King or Queen beds and we even have a room with Antique Twin beds on the first floor. In the morning come down for early coffee. We need it as we cook your breakfast, so by 7:00 am we guarantee a fresh pot. You can try earlier, but we could be grumpy if that first "Cooks" pot has not fully brewed. We do our best to make you feel like family, so there are few formalities, we all just respect each others privacy and property. Ask us for hints on things to do or places to visit. We have scoured the Mount Washington Valley and we can give you pointers on avoiding the crowds, yet getting that perfect picture of a Moose, Bear or beautiful stream. The Eastman Inn has been welcoming guests for around 100 years and we hope to do it another 100. Call or make an online reservation soon, we hope to make you a very satisfied 'returning' guest. Our Eastman Family has grown so much in the past 8 years. ... more   less
