Sue & Richard just really went above and beyond to meet my husband's health requirements. As a diabetic, he needs to avoid sugar, and his recent surgery still had him on a special diet. Sue prepared him a separate breakfast each morning, always inquiring if he wanted something else, etc. The food was absolutely wonderful, and differed every morning we were there. Sue & Richard also made two trips to the post office to pick up the insulin our son overnighted to us after we lost a vial along the way. The cottage itself was very clean and well maintained, and the traffic was not bothersome at all. We were there six days and wish it could have been much longer. Would definitely recommend this charming B&B,

Great location, very close to North Conways Village area. The inn is situated on a busy road however in the cabins you really didn't even notice. The village has a lot to offer restaurants, shops, parks and the train station. Its the perfect location to catch a bite to eat or take a nice stroll in the evenings for a ice cream.
The cabins were cleaned daily, it was nice to come back with fresh towel and a made bed after breakfast. The inn also provided the breakfast meal which were pretty good. The inn keepers are very friendly and accommodating.
There are only two complaints or recommendation I would suggest one would be to update the decor in the cabins. The other recommendation would be turn up the temperature to the pool it was a bit chilly. Other than that everything was great!
I do plan to visit again sometime this fall it was well worth the price with a unbeatable location.

Room Tip: I only stayed in the cabins, the middle cabins are the best location on the property; # 4,5,6 and 7.

We stayed at the Old Red Inn twice now. The first time we stayed in one of the rooms in the Inn itself. We felt like we were right at home! The rooms were immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. Every morning we woke up to the smell of breakfast being prepared. (Homemade French toast topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries mmmmm!!) We enjoyed our breakfast and coffee in the spacious and beautifully decorated dining area. The second time we visited we stayed in one of the cottages with our children. Again, the cottages were very well kept and comfy! What we loved about the Old Red Inn was its location to all sorts of attractions. The nearby zip lining adventures were a lot of fun. The White Mountains are so scenic and offer a lot of sight seeing! There is a nearby village with many cute shops and fabulous restaurants. Our kids really enjoyed the nearby miniature golf course and Storyland!
The absolute best part of our stay were our welcoming and kind inn keepers Richard and Susan. They were extremely accommodating and were very knowledgeable about what to experience in the area!! We can't wait to book our next stay!!!

We just spent a three day weekend at the Old Red Inn and Cottages staying in the Inn. We found the Inn immaculate, and incredibly comfortable. The owners went out of their way, starting with greeting you immediately, asking if you have any food allergies because home made breakfasts are included, and telling of us local restaurants and other things we might like to see. Each morning included breakfast starting off with a fresh donut or homemade bread, juice and coffee, cereal, and fresh fruit, followed by a hot breakfast of homemade apple pancakes and sausage or eggs, homefries with peppers, onions, and cheese and a toasted english muffin. When you are finished they ask if you have had enough to eat. In the afternoon, there are homemade treats that are DELICIOUS!!!!! Although the cottages and all rooms in the inn were booked we never had a problem with seating in the diningroom or the pool being overcrowded. The best compliment we could give them was it was as comfortable as being at home. We are already talking about a return visit. The only recommendation we could make was that they post what is available for breakfast and a notice about the afternoon treats because some people were not aware they were available.

Room Tip: We had room 3 which was on the 2nd floor and was extremely comfortable and it wasn't even the top rated room. The cottages were cute but were all booked so we did not get a chance to look at the inside of them.

We wanted to step out of the door with our morning coffee and sit in the gorgeous morning weather...and that's just what we did at this Inn!
As planned, we stayed one night in cottage #1 and two nights in cottage #3. For us, a couple without children, cottage 3 worked better. Cottage 1 has two bedrooms and a living room. There was a TV, a microwave and a fridge in the living room. Cottage 3 is one room so everything was right there with the TV on the wall at the foot of the bed. I like TV watching when I go to bed so this worked better for me.! Cottage 3 also had a fridge and a microwave.
Cottage 3 has a king bed that was VERY comfy but a bit too big for the room, making it difficult to get in and out of it on my side. My thought was that they should switch beds and put bed 1 into cottage 3 and visa versa. The cottages were exactly what we expected, clean and comfortable. There was a pool that was tended to and the grounds were always clean.
The Inn owners where very nice, knowledgeable of the area, willing to give info of the back roads to avoid some of the traffic, well versed on local politics...and they have the cutest little Shih Tzu you have ever seen!
Upon check in we were asked if we had food allergies or special needs in the food prep...Susan was willing to make any changes to her menu necessary to accommodate us! Breakfast was different every morning...it was good and we left full every morning. At breakfast we would have conversations from table to table with the other guests and compare notes on what to see and where to go! A nice way to start the day...we always enjoyed breakfast time!
Thank you Susan and Richard!!
Overall it was a great stay...We would definitely stay again!

Room Tip: Know the difference between a fancy hotel with loads of amenities and an Inn with cottages, and you won't be disappointed. We have done lots of traveling over the years and stayed at many 5 star hotels...we knew what we wanted for this trip and that is exactly what we got!
