We stayed here for 1 night prior to heading to Storyland. Very clean and lots to do for kids. 2 pools (indoor and outdoor). They offered popcicles for the kids at the pool and had activities planned (which sadly, ended on account of rain). Very close to shopping in North Conway and not far from Storyland with wonderful views!

Sounds like you had a fun filled stay. Our pools are so relaxing with the mountain views. And being so close to Storyland and the outlet shopping is such a treat. Look forward to seeing you again soon.

We checked into a basic room for a one night stay and after inspecting the room we moved to another hotel. Upon entering we were hit by a terrible smell that even our kids commented on. We checked the beds and found dirty linens (hair), a dead bug under the mattress, a mouldy peanut and a spider. Totally unacceptable! The management was cooperative and refunded our money. The hotel is in a great location but needs a major investment to bring it up to date. We immediately called around and found a beautiful room at the White Mountain Resort for less money and spotless.

Myself and my friend, also a Grandmother visited with our grandchildren, ages 2,3 and 9. We stayed in the alcove room which was perfect. The eldest grandchild was quite excited to see from our balcony in the morning a beautiful red tail hawk sunning himself/herself in one of the large trees across the lawn. The breakfast buffet was excellent, we were greeted by a lovely hostess. Even the little ones ate more then usual. There is a playground and several guests were playing Frisbee golf. The pools were immaculate and being well used. The front desk personnel, Bobbi and Dan were equally pleasant and most helpful. They provided us with our Storyland passes and called to have someone take us in the shuttle to the outrageously fun water park at the sister hotel. Lots and lots of fun, will return next year for sure.

Room Tip: Mountain View rooms for sure.

We arrived here in the early hours of the morning due to dodgy sat nav!!! Check in was fast and painless. We booked a family room which had a mezzanine floor with 2 single beds for kids. Room was a dated but clean and with everything you need including a fridge. Air con a little noisy but we got used to it. Lovely views of mountains from our room and overlooking grassy area which had a small playground area for kids. Main building housed the indoor pool which kids loved. Breakfast was included, buffet style and plentiful, pancakes were really good. All the staff were friendly, approachable and helpful. Resort is located on the main highway but set in extensive grounds that you would never know.

Only wish we had booked to stay longer than our 3 nights!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review. It sounds like you had a great time by both pools and the kids loved the poolside popsicles. The view are wonderful from the rooms and thank you for mentioning how clean the room was. Look forward to having you as a return guest. Enjoy the rest of this beautiful summer.

I and my family stayed there the first week of August and left early. Why? The outdoor unheated pool was not very clean. A lot of leaves in it everyday and a bad smell emanating from it. We noticed what appeared to be a cat turd underneath a pool chair. We moved to other chairs and the bad smell lessened. Next day the cat turd was still there.

There is also an indoor pool and hot tub. The hot tub had a lot of sand on the bottom. First time I was in a hot tub and say sand on the bottom. If they don't remove the sand, what else are they neglecting?

The room was clean. The fixtures in the bathroom were recently upgraded. The shower worked well.

When we arrived we were assigned a second floor room with a balcony. The balcony had a metal railing that was three feet high and not sturdy. I have two children aged 6 and 8 yrs. I asked to switch to the ground floor. The hotel complied. If you have young children those balconies could make you very nervous.

Price was competitive. $179 but that included breakfast.

Fireside marshmallows roasting was popular with the kids.

But a hotel where I have no confidence in pool cleanliness is not one I would return to.

Was surprised how dated this property is, beds are uncomfortable, linens need updating, wi-fi was horrible, paper thin walls and ceilings. The grounds are beautiful, pool looks nice, we didn't use it. The buffet breakfast was very good. Low budget hotel for families.

Room Tip: We had a ground level garden facing room with 2 double beds. Best to be on an upper floor, try not...
