A number of loved ones and I stayed here for our wedding weekend and can't think of enough nice things to say about the property. While we did not actually hold our event at the facility, we were still treated as valued guests during our stay. The food is delicious, the rooms are an exceptional value and the staff is very responsive to requests. The bar is terrific - Gage is the best bartender ever and the Spa staff is also top notch. I would highly recommend the Common Man Inn to anyone passing through Plymouth!

My wife, myself and our canine just returned home from a two night stay at The Common Man Inn. The Common Man invoked a "woodsy" charm throughout this former mill. The oversized rooms overflowed with country charm that also featured modern amenties (i.e.-wireless internet and in-room gas fireplace). The staff goes out of its way to make even your canine family member welcomed. A personalized doggie moose awaited his arrival.

The on-site spa was a relaxing retreat. Once inside the spa, you forget you are inside a converted wood mill. The spa's staff was professional and attentive. There's even a hot
tub with a functioning bolder waterfall. Just so darn relaxing...

The on-site restaurants, The Boiler Room and Foster's Steakhouse, were first rate. One offering casual pub fare in a dramatic "bolier room" backdrop. The other, a three star Steakhouse delight with atmosphere to match.

Actually, there is NO reason the leave the comfortable walls the Comfort Man Inn. And with Plymouth's disappointing options, why would you?! It's truly a desination inn. White Mountain or no White Mountains... We are certain to return!

My husband and I have stayed at the common man inn twice. The first time was an accident. We had been planning on camping in the white mountains during our honeymoon, but a three day downpour ruined that idea. SO, we quite literally stumbled into this hotel and were really happy we had. The staff is warm and friendly, rooms are cozy and incredibly comfortable and the food in the restaurants is great. True it is located next to the highway, but I saw that as an advantage. We could get up and get on the road to our next destination (white mountains, which are not far from plymouth at all). We returned to the common man for our first anniversary. We bought the 'uncommon romance' package which included a lovely room with a king sized bed, fireplace and jacuzzi tub, dinner and breakfast delivered to our door. We asked a lot of the staff and they were really wonderful. It was a great place to spend our anniversary and we will certainly return to the common man in the future.

Maybe it was the expectations we had from friends that this was a romantic and relaxing destination. We pictured quaint New England Inn with roaring fireplace, scenic vistas, and rejuvenating spa. Well, we got the spa part right but imagine our surprise as we crossed the railroad tracks into the large asphalt parking lot overlooking Route 93. It's a very nicely renovated factory building but they can't do much about the location. If you have other things to do in the area like skiing, boating, business, etc. this is a nice place to stay. But if you are looking for a vacation retreat, this is not it. The food was excellent and the Common Man has other restaurants in the area as well. They could stand to dim the lights in Foster's a bit to make it less of a hotel lobby restaurant but the food and service were good. The room was adequate, the staff was mostly helpful, and the spa was very nice. But, the fitness center was VERY limited, the pool small, and the "waterfall" hot tub nothing to write home about. Essentially this is a Marriott Courtyard with a spa.

We stayed at the Common Man Inn over Labor Day weekend 2005. We were looking for a hotel not to far from the lakes region of New Hampshire. We have a boat and wanted the option of being able to drop in at the lake of our choice. This hotel was located directly off of Route 93 which was great. The rooms were air conditioned and cozy looking. The hotel offered two restaurants which after a full day on the water was great not to have to hunt for a place to eat. We loved it.

My husband and I have been coming to the Common Man resturants for the last 10 years or so and the service we recieved was not what we are used to from the small chain. Our most recent venture to the Common Man was to the new inn. Our room was very nice and the people at the inn were all very pleasent until we checked out. The Inn Keeper was very rude to us about a problem we had with our bill. She was very short tempered and rude. We will stick to the resturants from now on.

We've stayed a couple of times at the Commonman Inn and both times were excellent! The rooms are spacious, clean, and cheery. The employees are attentive and curtious. We have eaten at the tavern and Foster's Steakhouse and both are delicious! We will be going again in the near future and always look forward to our stay. It's like going home.
