A hotel where everyone likes their job and it shows. From the GM Mark Woolley to the front desk to the maintenance people, everyone went out of their way to be helpful. Every request that was asked was answered with a smile and a "happy to accommodate you" attitude

Thank you very much for staying with us and your kind words. We appreciate you choosing our hotel during your business trip. Even though Business trips take you away from your real home we like to help you consider us a second home. Everyone on our entire team does enjoy working at our hotel welcoming guests to the New Hampshire seacoast. Our staff is eager to help guests enjoy their stay. A lot of our Front Desk has lived in the area for a long time so they are well aware of the wonderful attractions and restaurants in Portsmouth and nearby towns. Hopefully, business will bring you back to our area again soon.

Front desk personnel are so welcoming! I always feel like I'm returning home. For business and pleasure travelers, there is lots of parking and the best oldies restaurant and dining facility on the premises: the Roundabout Diner. Experience it to understand. You'll be amazed by D, the morning chef who presents your meal perfectly and almost instantly. Business travelers will have to kill time after breakfast since they are served so quickly.

We are so glad you feel like you are returning home. Our Front Desk team enjoy seeing guests come back to stay with us again and again. A lot of our personnel have years of experience welcoming guests to our hotel so they truly enjoy recognizing familiar faces. The Roundabout Diner is a wonderful 50’s theme restaurant. Everyone is excited about a visit from Chubby Checker in 2 weeks on Wednesday, April 16. Hopefully, you will be able to visit us again soon so we welcome you back to your 2nd home.

My company changed me to this hotel at the last minute. The front desk guy upon arrival was rude when I asked for points but the ladies the rest of the week were fine. Good location. Central to everything. Halls smelled musty but the room was okay.

Welcome back. We appreciate your returning to our hotel and we appreciate your service. I am sorry you felt our Front Desk staff was rude upon your request for Best Western Reward points. Our rewards program is definitely a great benefit for our guests especially with almost 2,000 Best Western hotels in the United States. If there are any concerns about the Best Western Reward points please feel free to call me directly at (603) 436-7600 or you can speak with your company regarding their policies. Our goal is to make sure all of our guests feel welcome and I apologize if someone on our team fell short of those expectations. Please be assured we value your business and insight.

The hotel itself looked clean and bright. Staff at the desk were friendly. The cost was ok. Our main issues were the fitness center equipment has not been maintained, only one treadmill worked, the weight machine had rusted bolts on it ( clearly never used) making it impossible to adjust, and the exercise bike wasn't functioning. The other issue we had was the hot tub was out of service, ( one of the things we were looking forward to). The pool was full of hair. For the price per night the hotel should at minimum offer a continental breakfast, but with the attached restaurant one has to leave hotel for breakfast or eat at the restaurant there. The restaurant food is good, but costly. The lobby does have free coffee which is very good. Both my daughter and I developed very itchy skin and random bumps on our arms and neck. On the plus side, the hotel is in a great location, close to everything, and as I have already said the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was quiet despite being very busy. The rooms look like they have been updated and on the outside appear clean. Showers worked well and plenty of hot water.

Room Tip: bring foods that you can have for breakfast, and extra moisturizer.

We appreciate your insight and opinion. Thank you for commenting on our friendly staff twice during your review. Every one of our associates enjoys working in the hospitality industry. Our fitness center is going through some updates. We are installing a new electronic control panel in our second treadmill and the weight machine does actually get a lot of use from our corporate travelers. A rust looking appearance near the weight adjustments is just a discoloration from the pin movement. Unfortunately, your visit was during a regular maintenance service for our hot tub. I am sorry we did not have it operational for your stay. We agree our location is great. Portsmouth is a wonderful city with a lot of activities. Hopefully we will see you again to show you the improvements in our fitness center.

Used to stay in Hyatt but this was just as nice and costs was much, much lower. Great value and pleasant place to stay. Meet all my needs. I was comfortable and had options for meals if I needed them.

Thank you for you switching to our hotel for your business travels. We appreciate your kind words. Another aspect of traveling we hope you’re taking advantage of ours is the Best Western Rewards program. Our loyalty program is no cost and provides you with a lot of benefits. Additionally if you already participate with another hotel’s program we will match your status with no obligation. We look forward to seeing you again the next time your business brings you to our area again. Safe travels.
