We stayed here during the week of September 2nd (After the labour day weekend).
$59USD a night for 2 nights which was half of what most places wanted and less than what I could find on priceline where you can get stuck with anything.
The location was ideal, right off the I-95 and next to the Spaulding Turnpike which we took to head up to Conway ( ~ 90 min drive depending on the traffic).
And Oddity is that since the Hotel is on a 4-lane seperated by a median in the middle, you can make a left-turn into the hotel from the main street (Gosling Road). However, if you head to the back of the parking lot there is a road that goes around and meets up with Woodbury ave. (it's not on Google maps, but the road is there). So coming back make a turn at the intersection with the bank on one corner and past the Shaws and keep going past the old Home Depot and around and you are at the back of the hotel.
10 minute drive or less to downtown Portsmouth and there is a Walmart just down the road on Woodbury. If you head down Hwy 1 South-West onto Lafayette you have a Walmart Supercentre ( I believe the one near the Hotel is only a regular Walmart). Also, heading north up the Spaulding Turnpike about 10 minutes to Somersworth (near Rochester) is a Target and another Walmart Supercentre across the street.
The Fox Run mall is across the street but don't both walking to it as we did as the main part of the mall is a good 15-20 minute walk behind the building you see on Gosling Road.
The room itself was a good size, the washroom was huge by hotel standards (obviously designed for a Senior or someone in a wheelchair) and there were far too many available channels on the TV to ever try to figure out which ones there were.
As with any Motel 6 I stayed at, no Alarm clock or pens or the usual stuff you get (there was soap, shampoo and essentials like that). Basically remember to bring a alarm clock or something to wake you up in the morning if needed.
And if you can get a room facing the Portsmouth Saturn all the better if you want wi-fi as it is wide open and works great. If not, the internet provided by the hotel was fairliy cheap compared to most I have seen at hotels (2.99 or 3.99 for 24 hours.)
The pool is an oversized hot-tub and was closed for the season when we arrived. It's outside so it really would only be appealing in the hottest days of the summary and not more than about 6 people could fit in it without crowding.
This hotel was obviously recently renovated as the rooms and the common areas were very fresh looking and modern. Once you head into the stariways you get an idea how old the place is. They were not bad or anything just gave that look of being designed may years ago that is all.
Parking was adequate although with the hotel appearing to be full there were not an overabundance of remaining spots. Very few spaces at the front of the hotel, most were located on the side of the building facing the Saturn Dealership or at the back of the building.
We went to go shopping there so if we were to head that way again we would definitely stay again in that place.
