The Port, in Portsmouth,NH is an old hotel that has been completly renovated by new owner, I 1st discovered this hidden jewel this past winter on a trip to Portsmouth, I must of driven by it hundreds of times but never thought of stopping, always stayed at the. Fairfield Inn, just behind the Port. Much to my surprise the new PORT is the place I want to stay from now on. It is also a member of Choice Hotels which allows you to receive points when you stay, another plus. They have a beautiful heated outdoor pool which is great for beach goers because the NH And Maine waters are extremely cold even in the summer months. All of the rooms have been tastefully decorated, plus making the Port your go to vacation stop is easy to get from highway to Maine destinations perfect day trip, then come back and relax by the pool and go into downtown Portsmouth for great restaurants for dining and entertainment, also close by Hampton Beach is a destination for the entire family, always well liked by teenagers, and there is a water park located just a few miles away......make your reservations now,it will fill up fast.

Room Tip: Ask for room near pool in back of property

Typical motel just off the route 16 on the outskirts of Portsmouth. Friendly reception, room was clean an perfectly adequate for a one night stop. A 20 minute walk into the centre of town where there was a good selection of restaurants. Breakfast was typical "motel style" but included hot food and was very acceptable. Good value. would happily use it again.

I have stayed here a couple times, and it is always the best experience! The rooms are nice, the staff is amazing, friendly and accommodating, and the location is convenient to the highway & downtown.

My husband & I have stayed a few times now at the Port Inn. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is conveniently located to downtown Portsmouth. Also reasonably priced and friendly helpful front desk. Will stay again!

This motel-style inn is very reasonably-priced, situated a few minutes outside the main town of Portsmouth. The front desk was very friendly and helpful when we checked in. Our room was in the second building in the back- very quiet, clean, and with a small kitchenette. There is a decent breakfast included, which is nice since there are no other places to eat in the immediate location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the building behind the main building.
