Lovely park right on the waterfront! Just steps from downtown Portsmouth with what appears to be garden beds, however in November only the stems and mulching remain. Will definitely be returning to this enchanting spot come spring!

We went to see a musical show and to walk in the beautiful gardens this summer...delightful all. Watching the show under the stars; watching the boats going into Portsmouth harbor; clean and family friendly; much improved rest rooms.

Very excited to go to this park. Google maps took us to an entrance with a small parking lot and dumpsters. Not the greatest first impression. The park bathroom was open late. The park was not very well lit, but still ok for my almost 2 year old to run around and stretch his legs and not have to worry about him running out into a busy street.

We happened on this colorful, tranquil park following a walk through downtown Portsmouth from our hotel. It was the perfect way to cap off the morning. Stretching along the Piscataqua River, the green park was speckled with bright flowers, benches, fountains, open spaces, displays and didactic panels explaining the history of the area. Even with quite a few visitors, it didn’t seem crowded or cramped. The views of the harbor are inspiring and easy to get lost in.

I recommend visiting this park, possibly packing a lunch to enjoy the beauty longer and with someone or someones special. It’s well worth the time.

Wandered through the park during our self-guided walk about Portsmouth. Beautiful gardens, on the water, and has summer shows/plays/activities.

This is a good multi-purpose park for the local citizens to use we were there in Fall so it is what it is.

Great park; small (tiny) version of Boston's Public Gardens or Central Park in NY; this hidden gem has benches & gardens near Market Square on the ocean!! It's good for taking Fido for a walk, as long as you pick up after him/her. Go for the view & pack a lunch. You'll love it!!

My husband and I, were going on a boat ⛵ tour.
It just happened that this inviting garden, was right near the waterfront.
There are so many variety of flowers and shrubs, the colors all complementing each other.
There are fountains, that add to the ambience.
You can sit on the benches and just enjoy this hidden gem.
