If you are into avante garde theater or improv, this is a good place to visit.

The theater is very artist driven and offers a wide array of theatrical choices.

This was a favorite of mine when I lived in the area.

It's small; only about 50 seats, and the venue is a very old building with no a/c and perhaps not as much heat as they could have in the winter, but it's a wonderful place to see (mostly) locally written and produced plays. You're right on top of the action, which is great; you feel like you're a part of that action. Ya gotta check it out sometime, it's great!

I love small theatres such as this one. There are few seats, so everyone is close to the stage in sort of a horseshoe configuration around the stage. The theatre is in an old, historic building right near the water.

The shows are always a lot of fun, and the prices are very good. The quality of the productions will amaze you for such a small, local group.

Find a show that you are interested in, and get tickets! Support your local theatre!

We have seen some fantastic plays here. Among them, MacBeth, A Streetcar Named Desire, One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest, and The Odd couple. It is amazing what they can do with the small space they have. Terrific actors and actresses. Very intimate setting.

Live theater, generally well done, in an intimate setting for not much more than movie tickets--a great deal for good entertainment in this sometimes pricey tourist city. We've seen some great plays here, and some that were less than great, but still entertaining. Tickets are $12-15, so it's not much of a financial risk for a nice evening of live entertainment.
