My wife and I visited this restaurant during our most recent vacation to New England.
The restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of The Governor's House Inn (a great place to stay whilst visiting Portsmouth).
We had a reservation and despite the place being incredibly busy, we were seated within a few minutes of arriving.
The menu offered a broad choice of seafood from both its "raw bar" and cooked dishes. These were complemented by meat, poultry and vegetarian alternatives - the wine list was extensive with many of the wines available by the glass.
Now to the food!!
We ordered calamari and fresh oyster appetisers - both were wonderful!
My wife had the Haddock Piccata entree, she says it was "to die for".
I had the Diver's Scallops with a lobster sauce - this is without doubt the best fish course I have ever eaten.
The service was prompt and attentive, the prices although not cheap offer great value for the quality of food presented.
Our only regret, is that we visited here on the final night of our stay in Portsmouth - if we had come here on the first night, I doubt we would have gone anywhere else.
We are sure to return here during our next visit to New Hampshire.
