We ate breakfast at Munroe's Restaurant every morning while we stayed in the Twin Mountains.
The waitresses are very friendly. They work hard to make your meal enjoyable. The food is delicious, the coffee hot, and the portions large!

The prices are very reasonable. The Maine blueberry pancakes were our favorite!

Southern cooking (sort of) in quaint, charming cafe best for local gossip, breakfast and people-watching. Service was okay, not great. I think the server should have informed this Southern Gal that there was garlic or cheddar in the GRITS! I prefer just plain butter, ma'am!

There was a lot of family pictures and religious quotes on the walls and menu, so that might make it a bit too interesting for some people. If that wasn't strange enough, just sit and watch the locals for a minute.....

Delicious clam chowder, tasty burgers and fries. The breakfast menu is varied and filling. We were in the area five days and did not have a bad meal here. It was within walking distance of our hotel which was an added bonus. Great food served by friendly, smiling staff!

We just came back from spending our anniversary weekend in Twin Mountain. On our way to check in to our motel we happened upon this cute, quaint little family restaurant. We stopped for lunch. What a gem Munroe's is!!! The food came out hot, delicious and all for a very reasonable price......not to mention the quantity. The staff made us feel right at home...... like we were guests in their own home. We loved it so much that we went there for breakfast the following day and the day after that went for our anniversary dinner! The potato encrusted haddock with gorgonzola cream sauce was to die for and the marinated steak tips.....absolutely delicious!! Great place to go for any meal!!!

Dining options are limited in this northern NH town but Munroe Place is a great choice for a hearty breakfast. Both dining rooms in this cute roadside location were packed at 7.30am on a Saturday and its always reassuring to see the locals as well as tourists tucking in. The menu features all the usual fare and a nice range of a la carte items, such as a single pancake for those like me that cannot handle the "big stack". The Eggs Benedict was freshly cooked and had just the right amount of sauce! Our waitress was friendly and attentive despite dealing with multiple tablesand requests for frequent checks. We'll be back in the winter for a pre-ski breakfast!
