We have been going to The Black Bear Lodge for many years. We first went before we had children. Then we went when we had young children. Now we go with our teen children and lots of our friends and their families. It is always a great time and there is so much to do. We enjoy it.

Room Tip: It's best to get a room away fro the parking lot. you can hear people talking when they come in...

It was our first time staying at Black Bear Lodge! We went during April vacation so many of the shops weren't opened yet but we still had a wonderful time! We stayed in room 422! My children had a blast counting all the bears in the condo! It was so cozy and felt just like home! My children enjoyed riding their bikes around the property. My son even learned how to ride without training wheels while we were there! We went on many bike rides and hiked at least once a day! We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and especially the game room! It was a quiet, relaxing AND memorable vacation! We can't wait to go again!!

We so glad your family enjoyed your stay. No training wheels is a HUGE and excited step. Please let your son know the staff up here is cheering for him! We hope to see you all again very soon. Let us know when your kids are ready for the mountain bike trails.

Keep 'em riding!

Couldn't ask for a better place to leave all the worries of home life behind for a few days. Had a wonderful relaxing trip at Black Bear Lodge enjoying the beautiful scenery and quiet. There was quite a bit of rain that long weekend but we managed to get one nice day to walk outside and enjoy the fresh air. We brought some food with us but had a great breakfast at The Town Square and a fun dinner at the Coyote Club. We were able to do some shopping in Conway and a few other places. But the most relaxing was watching a movie at the cozy lodge with my two best friends, a bottle (or two) of wine, and a large bowl of popcorn with no worries in the world (well at least for a little while.

If there were a way to add more stars I would. Every year my fiance and I travel from the Boston area to the white mountains for memorial day weekend, this year was not any different. We were lucky enough to win a single nights stay at Black Bear Lodge from a raffle won at the George Brazee Memorial Fund. We figured we could use our night stay before we headed to Twin Mt. for a camping trip. We had an amazing time. The staff was so friendly. The room was gorgeous (room #415) as well as the pool and hot tub. We stayed on a Thursday, therefore not many visitors were staying. So quiet and had a great night sleep. Also, the complementary coffee near the receptionist, was amazing. If it weren't for the generous gift from Black Bear to the George Brazee Memorial Fund, we would of never won the complementary night stay, therefore we would of never found out about this "hidden gem" in the valley. We now recommend Black Bear Lodge to our family and friends. Keep up the amazing work!

Room Tip: Room 415 fourth floor, back of hotel. Which made for a very peaceful time.

once again we spent another great weekend at Black Bear Lodge. our group ranges in age from 17 to 79. the price is affordable and the accomadations are great for our group . the staff was very happy to get us extra towels or other items we needed. the HOt tub and pool were out of commission due to cleaning and repairs but the staff worked hard to get it up and running for our use before we left. we would gladly stay here again as it is always friendly and understanding to our needs and our antics as a fun loving group of ladies.

Thank you very much for your group's return visit. I'm so sorry that the pool was out for a portion of your stay. We really appreciate your understanding and was glad to see that it didn't slow down anyone's fun. You ladies are a joy to serve. We'll look forward to your return next year!

We have stayed at the Black Bear Lodge many times. It has dramatically improved over the last two years. The staff is nice, friendly and helpful. Many of the units are updated and remodeled. The summer activities in the Valley are great. Hiking is king. The skiing is good in the winter and you are only a 45 minutes to other mountains like Loon, Cannon and Ragged. If you book at Black Bear ask for an updated room. Also ask to be placed away from the common areas if possible. The facility has a new GM and he has really revitalized the staff. There is an indoor pool which kids love. The lodge is within walking distance to a few shops, restaurants and the villages small pond.
