The Inn lets you choose the room on their website. They are all different, but large and well appointed. Staff is very accommodating. Breakfast and dinner are really good. Probably one of the best places to stay when visiting SW Vermont or SE New Hampshire.

Room Tip: Look at their website

We had such a great time last year, I booked this year's trip a year in advance! As usual, the food, location, accommodations were excellent. The great thing is we could bring our dog with us and still have a four star country experience. Loved every minute...and we'll be back next year!

The Inn is along Rt. 9 in NH so we were worried about noise but the building is sound proofed so well, it was not a problem. The staff is very attentive and nice. The room was delightful, large and the bed was so comfortable we were asleep in seconds!
The Inn has a restaurant that has wonderful food and very accommodating on requests.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the second floor since the views are better.

We were headed to the Marlboro Music Festival and decided to make reservations at the Chesterfield Inn, because the Trip Advisor reviews were so positive. (The drive to Marlboro from there was a bit over a half hour). The inn is indeed a wonderfully relaxing and beautiful place. The three of us were there to do our own individual work (unfortunately!), but what magnificent surroundings for that. We could bring our iPads or laptops out to the front lobby or the room where tea is served each afternoon, or any of the three--yes, three--dining places: the inside restaurant, enclosed terrace, and outside terrace. However gorgeous the latter is, the black flies, prevalent in July, were a nuisance. Rooms vary in size and views, but we did not see one that was not pleasant. And the staff was wonderfully accommodating to our needs. The dinner chef, from New Jersey, is marvelous. Breakfasts were good but not at the same level as dinners. People who aren't staying at the inn are also welcome to have dinner there. We took long walks, inhaled the beautiful Vermont air, and left our problems behind.

Air conditioning stopped working and no hot water for shower. No gardens and highway noise very loud. Apparently the facts are not enough . I have to write 200 words or my view on this will be rejected. So I continue to write , the gorge was beautiful; hiking and going for a picnic ; this spot is perfect . Piscah is very isolated; not recommended to go alone

I'm so sorry that you had a problem with your air conditioning and hot water; we would have been glad to make things right for you if you had let us know. We have air conditioning through out the inn and consider it a necessity, just like plentiful hot water. The inn is on a busy road, but it sits on 10 acres of land with charming landscaping and a meadow with a meandering path through it.

The Inn is a beautiful place to find peace and comfort!! Our room was decorated with so many little details that made us feel at home. We had a balcony that overlooked the gardens. Although we only stayed out there for a short time due to the heat, we look forward to returning in the fall or spring. We had dinner and breakfast at the Inn and the food was fabulous. The cranberry scones we had for breakfast were still warm when we took them from the basket. The most delicious scones ever!!! The staff was so helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Make sure to get a room with a balcony porch. We had room 17 and it was wonderful!

The inn is a refuge after long work days away from home. (That's why people choose us over the chain hotels in the area). A full delicious breakfast is included with your room, our rooms are comfortable with every detail anticipated, and all you have to do at dinnertime is enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace and wander to your table in the dining room for a wonderful dinner!
