“Intriguing”
Reviewed 13 November 2013

This is a very interesting site. The ruins are said to be haunted- my laborador and I found this in Haunted Hikes NH by Marianne Oconnor. The hike trails are moderate, yet not difficult if you are used to walking in fall in NH. Follow trail markers carefully. The views are worth it. We will definitely go again for a longer hike in warmer weather.

“Great forest walk but not easy”
Reviewed 4 June 2013

This was a great forest walk, but not an easy one. Be prepared to walk up hills, down hills, over rocks and small streams. Bring bug spray too and watch out for poison ivy. We loved the walk but weren't prepared for such a strenuous one. It took us 2 1/2 hours to walk the loop and go off on one of the other trails. The trails are marked but there are areas that are a bit confusing. It's also pretty desolate so I would recommend going with someone or at least a dog.

“Scandalous”
Reviewed 15 January 2013

I Love this place , a bit difficult to find. It is like an enchanted forest. Madame' Sheri was known to drive though town with her Horse & buggy naked. The hike in is easy and then there are several trails to choose from depending on the level of challenge you desire. It is pet friendly and your dogs can climb unleashed

“Fun Hike”
Reviewed 30 April 2012

This hike is famous for the stone foundation and stairway that remain from a mansion that once stood on the site. Books have been written about the roaring 20's and the parties that once happened here. The foundation is fun to look and walk around and the nearby hike is nice as well.
